While Overwatch 2 is introducing some interesting new maps, modes, and a PvE campaign, some fans are most interested in the additional characters it will bring to the table. Sojourn is the first new hero coming to Overwatch 2, and one fan has decided to give her a Diablo-inspired makeover that serves as a major change from her default appearance.

The Canadian hero became involved with the ongoing story when she appeared in the Storm Rising mission from Overwatch’s Archives event. Boasting cybernetic brain implants, her design is extremely futuristic, with robotic legs and tubes coming out of her arms. As such, it may seem a bit strange to see Sojourn take on the appearance of someone from the Diablo universe. However, it is hard to argue with how the design turned out, as the wildly different look for Sojourn would make for a great official skin.

The artwork comes courtesy of Reddit user CornyLope, who recently shared a memorable skin concept for Junkrat. Their Sojourn skin sees Diablo 3’s Witch Doctor serving as inspiration, and while it would likely not give Sojourn the option to summon allies in the hero shooter, it is both stylish and unique. Players should notice some white face paint on Sojourn’s face, with a skull-like pattern clearly visible. White dots cover the rest of her skin, seen clearly on her arms and legs.

Sojourn fans should also notice how different the character’s hair is, as her braided white locks are replaced with a huge black mohawk. Easily one of the most original hairstyles that have featured in an Overwatch skin concept, it is hard to imagine the design working without it. There are some other cool details to be seen, however, such as the black shoulder pads worn by the hero and the skulls on her waist and back. The brown armor is intricate, too, with some gold accents scattered throughout.

Another great touch sees Sojourn’s railgun getting a makeover, and with many Overwatch players looking forward to trying out her weapon, it is nice to see it being shown a bit of extra love. Alongside dotted skin like Sojourn’s and skulls on its backside, the weapon’s barrel is given a mouth - something that instantly makes it look more intimidating. With the fan even including special footwear for the character, every bit of design has been thought out. Considering that Overwatch already has a handful of Diablo-themed skins available for some of its heroes, an official Witch Doctor outfit for Sojourn is not out of the realm of possibility.

With Overwatch 2’s recent delay, there will unfortunately be a long wait before players can try out Sojourn. Hopefully when players finally get access to her, they will be able to unlock some skins as cool as this one.

Overwatch 2 is available now on PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
