One Overwatch 2 player discovers an odd looking glitch with the support hero Kiriko as she detatches her arms during her climbing animation. THis isn't the first glitch of bug to be found, as Overwatch 2 has had numerous issues since it launched back in October. One of the highest profile issues came right at launch as players were unable to even log into the game due to server and technical problems that lasted a few days.

While major issues like that have largely been resolved, Blizzard is hoping to reignite the Overwatch 2 community as Season 3 is set for launch on February 7. While the next major update won't have a new hero to unlock, Season 3 features a new map called Antarctic Peninsula as well as a Battle Pass that places the spotlight on Kiriko with a new Mythic Skin. However, a recently found glitch is now giving her attention for all the wrong reasons.

In a new clip posted to the Overwatch subReddit, a user named TheDewLife showed off a strange issue with the newer support hero Kiriko. While using her passive wall climb ability on the training map, the short video clearly shows her arms essentially detaching from her body, floating in the air as she performs her climbing animation. The video even slows the animation down to clearly reveal the odd behavior. However, there may be an explanation for this, even if it isn't something that Blizzard wants players to see.

Fans are able to explain away the strange bug due to the first person character model not having a viewable body to help reduce certain technical requirements, though it doesn't explain why this detatchment is visible at all. Some have linked it to a potential higher field of view than the game expects, which TheDewLife ultimately confirmed wasn't the case, while others have chalked it up to an Overwatch 2 technical issue that Blizzard may have overlooked. Some fans in the comments even brought up strange behaviors of other characters as well in first person, such as Cassidy, Zenyatta, and Orisa.

While Kiriko has become a popular character after her addition in Season 1 to Overwatch 2, she has also been a character that has had a fair share of technical problems as well. While some in thread have commented on her warped character rig, Kiriko has been linked to numerous bugs when using her teleport ability. For example, when attempting to help an Echo player, Kiriko was accidentally sent back to the team spawn.

Overwatch 2 is out now in early access for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
