What is the new Clash PvP mode in Overwatch 2?
Clash is the new PvP mode in Overwatch 2 Season 10, which is currently on trial until April 29. It resembles a traditional capture point mode and the previous Assault game mode, which was removed in 2022. In this mode, players must capture several points in a mirrored map while fending off the enemy team in a tug-of-war scenario. This mode has no role restrictions, and players are free to play any role they like.
How Clash is Played - Rules and Objectives
Clash matches take place on a mirrored map, with five capture points situated in a straight line. These are labeled A, B, C, D, and E. Each team starts with two points captured, and C is left contested. Once the game begins, players must capture all the points, or more than their opponent, whatever comes first, to win the match.
Capturing a point is as simple as standing in the zone. Once it's captured, the next zone won't become active for 30 seconds, giving defending players a chance to prepare and preventing one team from steamrolling the other.

Is Clash Going to Become a Core Game Mode?
While the mode is currently on trial, it looks like it will become a permanent fixture in Season 11, when only one map mode, Hanaoka, will be added to the game, with changes made based on feedback. Additionally, we know a second map called Volskaya is on the horizon and is set to be released sometime this year, indicating this will become a new permanent fixture in Overwatch 2.
