One fan of Overwatch 2 has proposed a simple but fun improvement that the developers could make to Cassidy's Combat Roll ability to improve gameplay and possibly even allow for some humorous interactions between the characters. Though Cassidy was one among the wide cast of heroes to see some changes to his abilities with the launch of Overwatch 2, his dodge ability has gone mostly untouched for a long time.

Cassidy is the iconic cowboy-style vigilante character seen in Overwatch 2. Famous for his Peacekeeper revolver and powerful Deadeye Ultimate ability, Cassidy is a damage hero built around landing precision hits on enemies and using his grenade to gain the upper hand during fights. While he used to be equipped with a flashbang grenade that would briefly stun enemies, this was changed in Overwatch 2 to a sticky magnetic grenade instead.

A fan of the game known as TheEpicCreation posted the suggestion on Reddit that Cassidy's Combat Roll should be changed to extinguish the hero if he's burning from the effects of Ashe's dynamite. They claim that it would only make sense after all, as stopping, dropping, and rolling is an effective way for someone to extinguish themselves if they're on fire in real life. In addition, the player suggests that Cassidy could even have some unique voice quips to tease Ashe in an instance where he cleanses himself of a fire caused by her.

This would be especially fitting, as the lore in Overwatch 2 makes clear that Cassidy and Ashe were previously members of the Deadlock Gang and are now old rivals. The two heroes even have a range of special dialogue in the game already, with a number of humorous lines that are said in game when one character kills the other, for instance. Overwatch 2 is no stranger to including secret lines of dialogue which only play through specific character interactions, with the sequel bringing even more unique voice lines to the game.

It's these kinds of interactions that give the heroes of Overwatch 2 the personality and depth that players love about them, and the dialogue is often used by fans to interpret some of the details pertaining to the game's intricate lore. While some of the game's new characters have brought much to the table in terms of expanding the world of Overwatch 2, a lot of fans are excited about the highly-anticipated PvE content that is set to release sometime next year, which will allow players to experience the story and world of Overwatch 2 in a whole new way.

Overwatch 2 is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.
