Overwatch 2 came out of early access a few weeks ago with the release of the Invasion update and its various PvE story missions. Despite a strong player base that followed Blizzard’s FPS ever since the release of its original installment in 2016, Overwatch 2 recently faced many criticism. Players complained about the lack of PvE activities that was promised by Blizzard with the release of this new game, resulting in massive review bombing of Overwatch 2 on Steam. Blizzard’s FPS ended up as the lowest-rated Steam game of all time, but Overwatch 2 game director Aaron Keller promised to keep on adding new PvP and PvE content in the upcoming months.

The Overwatch 2 Invasion update is the first major introduction of PvE content within Blizzard’s FPS. This update brings various new story missions, where players have to team up to defeat the villains of Null Sector. Invasion also marks the debut of Illari in Overwatch 2, a new support hero who carries a long-range rifle to heal her allies and damage her enemies.

Overwatch 2 is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
