When it comes to a Tank hero that is fun, effective and has plenty of skin options in Overwatch 2, D.Va is a great choice. Hana Song is a South Korean eSports star who becomes a menace when she enters her mech, with her ultimate ability causing chaos as she self-destructs and destroys anyone unlucky enough to be caught in the blast.

Overwatch 2: D.Va Guide (Tips, Abilities, And More)

D.Va is one of the most popular tanks in Overwatch 2 thanks to her abilities, and this guide will help all players who choose her

D.Va is an appealing character for Overwatch players of all skill levels, so we're going to be looking at ten of the best skins for D.Va so that fans can choose how they want to style her.

10 EDM

Drop the Beat

  • Legendary Skin
  • Obtained in the premium Overwatch 2 season one Battle Pass

The EDM skin was one of D.Va's first new skins for Overwatch 2. The garish purple mech features blue, pink, and green accents as well as speakers on one of the wings and a colorful EDM board on the other. Hana sports a funky look, with bunny ear headphones, pink pigtails, and sneakers with bows.

The best feature of this skin is the unique sound that it produces, such as a beat that starts playing and will drop when you use her Self-Destruct ability. EDM isn't D.Va's best from an aesthetic perspective, but it is certain to please players who enjoy bright, neon themes or those who want custom sounds with their chosen skin.

9 Black Cat

Purrfection

  • Legendary Skin
  • Purchasable for 1000 Credits

D.Va's Black Cat skin looks like it was ripped straight from an anime series or a manga. It's got magical girl vibes all over it. As the name suggests, the cat theme is prevalent in this skin, veering away from D.Va's usual preference for bunnies.

Both Hana and her mech sport a pair of cat ears, and Hana wears a black and dark pink outfit that includes a puffy-sleeved dress and a pink bow around her neck. The style of the outfit is reminiscent of Ichigo Momomiya's transformation outfit from the Tokyo Mew Mew manga and anime. The icing on the cute cake of this skin is the cables that trail from the mech, looking like a cat's tail.

8 Porsche

A Stylish Brand Deal

  • Legendary Skin
  • Only available at certain times in the shop for 1900 Overwatch Coins.

Next is a skin that angered some Overwatch players due to its hefty price tag, but it earns a spot on this list as it is undeniably cool. The Porsche collaboration skin features a sleek, stylish mech that looks like a torn-apart and rearranged Porsche. The official branding on the skin can be a bit jarring, but it's hard not to admire.

Overwatch 2 Fans Aren't Happy About Season 11's Battle Pass Skins

Super Mega Ultrawatch, the newest season of Overwatch 2, introduces plenty of new skins for players, but some fans are not particularly enjoying them.

The polished look of the mech is matched by Hana's equally elegant outfit. This is another skin that has cool sound effects too, as the mech will rev like a Porsche when you boost.

7 Cruiser

50s Cadillac Vibes

D.Va from Overwatch 2 equipped with the Cruiser skin
  • Legendary Skin
  • Purchasable for 1500 Credits

The Cruiser skin brings together the futuristic tone of Overwatch with a 1950s style. D.Va's mech is designed to look like a 50s Cadillac, complete with a turquoise and white color scheme and including a charming pine tree air freshener that hangs inside the cockpit.

Hana's outfit also offers a 50s aesthetic, though it looks more like she is cosplaying a 50s character rather than wearing an authentic outfit. The only disappointing thing about this skin is that it doesn't have sound effects. A Cadillac rev would have been an amazing inclusion. There are some unique dialogue lines from Hana though, such as saying "Hey daddy'o" rather than the regular "Hello" dialogue.

6 Waveracer

Making A Splash

  • Legendary Skin
  • Only available through promotion

Next is a skin that has frustrated Overwatch players as it can be tricky to obtain. It can't be bought in the shop or on the hero screen for credits, though there have been a few promotional ways to grab it, such as with a Prime Gaming drop.

The popularity of the Waveracer skin is no surprise, as it has an awesome, summer-themed look. D.Va's mech is transformed with a bright blue and purple color scheme, but the coolest part is the propellers on the back to give the mech a speedboat look. Hana is dressed in a swimming outfit, with a lifeguard jacket, heart-shaped sunglasses, a flower in her hair, and an adorable dolphin charm on the end of her light gun.

5 Scavenger

A Junker's Dream

  • Legendary Skin
  • Purchasable for 1000 Credits

The Junker and Scavenger skins are some of the original D.Va skins from when Overwatch first released, but there is no doubt that they are some of the best. Both Junker and Scavenger are great choices, but Scavenger is a little darker in terms of color scheme, giving it a grittier and more junker-esque vibe.

The mech looks like it was cobbled together with random spare parts, while Hana's outfit and spiky haircut are straight outta Junkertown.

4 Antifragile Dazzle

Craving For K-Pop

  • Only available at certain times in the shop for 1900 Overwatch Coins.

D.Va's Antifragile Dazzle skin was one of several unique skins released during the Overwatch 2 and Le Sserafim crossover event. This is not only a great skin for K-Pop fans and Le Sserafim followers, but it's also well suited to those who want to add a bit of glittery glamour to their Overwatch 2 gameplay.

D.Va's mech is covered in pretty, purple and pink colors with a glittering, shimmery texture. There is also a Le Sserafim banner attached to the top of the mech. Hana's outfit is also pretty fabulous and has that same shimmer and glitter texture. She also rocks a pinkish-purple ombre bob, which matches the rest of the skin perfectly.

3 Turtle Ship

A Piece of Korean History

  • Legendary Skin
  • Purchasable for 1900 Overwatch Coins

When it came to choosing a skin for this list with ties to D.Va's South Korean heritage, it was tough to choose between Turtle Ship and Palanquin. Turtle Ship comes out on top though, due to the intricacies of both the mech design and Hana's outfit. Turtle Ships were prevalent warships during the Joseon period in Korea. They were particularly sturdy and named for their resemblance to a turtle shell. D.Va's mech resembles their design excellently, featuring spikes and a dragon's head perched on top.

Overwatch Fan Spots Incredible D.Va Motorcycle

A fan discovers a custom bike themed after the iconic Overwatch hero, and the game's community is amusingly impressed with it.

Hana wears an outfit that seems to have been directly inspired by infamous Korean admiral Yi Sun-sin, known for leading Korea to some stunning victories against the Japanese navy. The details here are great, but the links to Hana's heritage and the historical accuracy make Turtle Ship a particularly noteworthy D.Va skin.

2 Shin-Ryeong

The Fox Spirit

An image of D.Va from Overwatch 2 equipped with the Shin Ryeong skin
  • Legendary Skin
  • Purchasable for 1500 Credits

Kiriko might have the monopoly on fox spirits in Overwatch 2, but before that, we had D.Va's Shin Ryeong skin to satisfy our foxy desires. Much like with Turtle Ship, Shin Ryeong references Hana's Korean heritage. According to a blog from the Overwatch team discussing how the skin was made, the idea it was "an untamed fox-girl caught mid-transformation." This comes across excellently with Hana's appearance, as she has fox ears, a ripped dress, claws, and translucent pink fox tails.

Her mech is meant to look like a haunted temple, a popular trope found in Korean horror stories. The name Shin Ryeong roughly translates to female ghost/spirit, and these spirits are known to haunt temples, so the skin's design goes hand in hand with Korean storytelling. The combination of Korean folklore with a cool fox spirit makes Shin Ryeong one of D.Va's best skins.

1 Academy

A+ Student

  • Legendary Skin
  • Purchasable for 1500 Credits

Last but not least is the school uniform skin that D.Va fans had wanted for a long time before it was finally released during the third Overwatch anniversary event. The skin features a uniform-clad Hana with pigtails and a bright pink and white mech that looks a little bit like a Gundam thanks to the robot head popping out on the top.

The robot head will move in sync with Hana's own head movements inside the mech, which is a cool little detail. The skin also comes with a custom green effect that comes out of the boosters when Hana uses them. The hype for this skin was real, and the Overwatch team delivered.
