Overwatch's annual Christmas event, Winter Wonderland, sees several beloved maps like King's Row decked out with Christmas decor and snowmen, allowing players to truly revel in festive cheer.
The Winter Wonderland event typically brings brand-new Christmas cosmetics for players to celebrate the festive season in style. These can include victory poses, highlight intros, or even legendary skins! Here are some of the best festive skins for Overwatch 2 players to wear in time for Christmas. Overwatch 2's Winter Wonderland event is set to start on December 13, 2022, and last until January 4, 2023.
12 Moira Holly (Epic)
The Holly plant typically signals the arrival of the Winter Solstice and, with it, the Christmas season. This spiky green plant can be dangerous, so it is no wonder that Moira, the cold-hearted and sharp-witted scientist with questionable morals, earns this skin.
This epic-rated skin sees a red and green recoloring of her default Overwatch skin with an added festive flair. Moira would be a Grinch in real life, but in Overwatch, she wears a large red bow on her front with pride, and her hair is dyed green in celebration of the Christmas season.
11 Solider: 76 Ugly Sweater Edition (Epic)
It wouldn't be Christmas without an ugly sweater thrown in the mix! The dad of Overwatch, Soldier: 76, sports a festive red and green Christmas sweater as his holiday attire, with a reindeer Pachimari mascot adorning the front. His signature Pulse Rifle even gets the Christmas treatment, with green gift wrap decorating the barrel.
As far as epic-rated event skins go, this is one of the better ones, as it conveys Soldier's personality without being too over-the-top Christmassy. Delight in this joyous season paired with Soldier's Toast victory pose!
10 Sugar Plum Fairy Mercy (Legendary)
The legendary Sugar Plum Fairy skin transforms Mercy's traditionally-white Valkyrie suit into one featuring gorgeous pastel pinks and aquamarines, befitting the fan-favorite angel. She's given a set of pointy elf ears and a petal-like skirt, so she resembles a wood nymph.
This beautiful skin is a homage to the ballet The Nutcracker, which is relayed through small details in the cosmetic itself, like Mercy's ballerina ribbon shoes. It plays nicely into how delicate and feminine Mercy is, even though it is not a traditionally Christmas-like skin.
9 Rudolph Roadhog (Epic)
Roadhog is known for being one of the deadliest Overwatch characters, as he is a criminal outlaw on the run. Well, this Winter Wonderland-specific skin transforms him into the iconic reindeer Rudolph, complete with the antlers and the glowing red noise, or belly button, in this case.

8 Nutcracker Zenyatta (Legendary)
This iconic skin turns Zenyatta into a Christmas favorite, the Nutcracker! It transforms Zenyatta's typical Orbs of Destruction into roasted chestnuts as he wears a doll-like facial expression and the tall soldier's hat to complete this festive look.
Even better, when Zenyatta activates his Ultimate Transcendence while wearing this skin, he will shout "Experience festivity" instead of his usual voice line, guaranteed to spread the Christmas cheer to his team and enemies alike.
7 Giftwrapped Bastion (Epic)
The present nobody asked for is the Winter Wonderland Gift Wrap Bastion epic skin, which signifies pure pain and stress for the enemy team. Bastion is decorated with shiny forest-green wrapping paper adorned with festive Christmas trees throughout, finished off with a giant red bow on the front.
Bastion's presence can be a gift or a curse, depending on which team he is on, but Bastion can rain death from above in his Configuration: Artillery as his Christmas present to the enemy team. Too generous!
6 D.Va Sleighing (Legendary)
Ride into the Christmas season in style with D.Va's legendary Sleighing skin! D.Va's mech, Toki, becomes a festive sleigh for the holiday, becoming red and green with small gold details, finished off with sleigh bells and antler horns at the top.
The Korean pop icon and Meka pilot herself is decked out in a festive dress, complete with plaid patterns and winter friends at the front. She has opted for candy cane stockings and knee-high flurry boots to complete the look. Too bad D.Va's outfit won't be seen unless she's popped out of her mech in combat!
5 Wrecking Ball The Snowman (Legendary)
Wrecking Ball, also known as Hammond, is everyone's favorite hamster, causing chaos wherever he goes. This adorable skin transforms Hammond and his ball of destruction into a giant mobile snowman, or snowball, complete with a carrot nose and a dotted smile. His Quad Cannons are gift-wrapped with a bow, ready for the enemy team!
Ever seen a hamster with a long white beard? Look no further than Wrecking Ball's Snowman skin! Safely tucked away inside his frosty friend, Hammond is transformed into Santa, with the traditional red and white hat and his chubby hamster cheeks covered by Santa's signature gray beard.
4 Mei Penguin (Legendary)
The ice queen herself, Mei, has two Winter Wonderland skins in her wardrobe, befitting her cold and icy theme. Her best winter skin, though, is her Penguin skin. This outfit sees her wearing a Penguin onesie, as players can see her face peeping through.
Always up to snow good, this legendary skin decks out her icy weather droid friend, Snowball, as a tiny penguin too. Penguin Mei is one of the cutest cosmetic skins in Overwatch 2 and deserves more attention.
3 Santaclad Torbjorn (Legendary)
Who else but Torbjorn would better fit a Santa characterization? The Santaclad Torbjorn sees the Swedish engineer decked out in Santa's traditionally festive red and white suit, with his long beard braided and decorated with two golden jingling bells.
Though his expression looks much less jolly, Santaclad Torbjorn has two Christmas trees poking out and a sack full of gifts to deliver. Referencing his lore as an engineer, Torbjorn's weapons, including his iconic Forge Hammer, all look like hand-made crafted wooden toys.
2 Jingle Tracer (Legendary)
Overwatch 2 offers incredible skins, and their poster child Tracer has some of the best ones. Jingle Tracer is one of the best Christmas skins on offer and sees Tracer as one of Santa's trusty helpers, dressed in green elfish attire and large pointed shoes.
Jingle Tracer also uniquely alters some of Tracer's voice lines and sound effects. When using Blink, Tracer players may occasionally hear faint jingle bells. She may also sometimes say, "Ho ho ho!" When throwing out her Ultimate Pulse Bomb, Tracer may also say, "Present for ya!"
1 Reindeer Orisa (Legendary)
By far, the best festive skin currently in Overwatch 2 is Reindeer Orisa. This legendary skin sees the horsey hero and fan-favorite Overwatch character dressed up as the classic Christmas caricature, Rudolph, with the glowing red nose that many players will instantly recognize.
Reindeer Orisa has her iconic Fusion Driver gun infused with an adorable functioning snowglobe for some added Christmas cheer. It is impossible to be mad at dying to an Orisa wearing this skin; it's just too cute.
