A hilarious Overwatch 2 clip shows off a Bastion player using their grenade ability to great effect, essentially rocket-jumping themselves up onto nearby high ground where they land on top of an enemy Hanzo and subsequently mow him down. Overwatch 2 brought many changes to the ability kits of some heroes such as Bastion, which has allowed players to discover a few fun new tricks since the game's release.

Many veteran Overwatch 2 players will remember how different Bastion used to be in the original game, where his grenade ability was swapped out with a tool that allowed Bastion players to heal themselves. Additionally, Bastion's original Ultimate Ability allowed players to enter a tank form for a short period of time, which often allowed for greater degrees of carnage compared to the more easily-avoided mortar Ultimate that Bastion now uses. Though his Ultimate may have been tweaked to make the hero a bit more vulnerable, Bastion's tank form has been somewhat upgraded in Overwatch 2, now allowing the character to move about while gunning down the enemy team in tank mode.

The Overwatch 2 player responsible for making the play posted it as a short clip on Reddit under the username Filqon. During a battle on the Oasis map, the player comes up with a plan to ambush the enemy team's Hanzo positioned on a high platform while playing as Bastion. Apparently well-practiced in their grenade-jumping skills, they manage to easily boost themselves a remarkable distance, transforming into tank mode in midair and landing on top of the surprised Hanzo player before gunning them down. It came as a surprise to many other Overwatch 2 fans that such a grenade-jump was even possible with Bastion, encouraging other players to practice the mechanic and search for smart ways to put it to use on maps.

Many other heroes, namely Doomfist, Orisa, and Cassidy, have seen their own share of ability changes since the launch of Overwatch 2 earlier in October. Orisa's new Terra Surge Ultimate Ability has led to players discovering some hilarious ways of putting it to use, such as using it to pull enemy players with them after jumping off the map.

It's safe to say that many of the game's heroes, particularly the newest additions to the roster, have been finding their feet over the course of the game's first season. Many players are unhappy with the current state of hero balance, with a recently-discovered damage bug regarding Doomfist putting the tank hero in an even worse state than he already was. Along with the recently-announced new hero, Blizzard has hinted at quite a few balance tweaks coming to a variety of heroes with the launch of Season 2.

Overwatch 2 is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
