Overwatch 2 and Attack on Titan

Overwatch 2 and Attack on Titan

Attack on Titan was at one point the highest-rated anime, following its debut in 2013. The Fortnite and Attack on Titan crossover did well, but the gritty nature of the characters may be better suited for Overwatch 2's universe. Additionally, the 3D cartoon style of Overwatch 2 would be perfect for portraying characters like Reinhardt as the Armored Titan, Winston as the Beast Titan, or Genji as Levi Ackerman. Reddit user Synnova32 even went so far as to create concept art of an Eren Jaeger skin for Ramattra that seamlessly captures both their personalities.

Overwatch 2 and Super Mario Bros.

Overwatch 2 and Mario

It's no secret that Super Mario Bros. is Nintendo's most successful franchise. As such, the overlap between Overwatch 2 players and fans of the platformer series is higher than one might think. Over the years, dedicated artists have even shared ideas for Mario-inspired skins such as Shy Guy Reaper, Princess Peach Mercy, and Baptiste as Mario due to his Exo Boots. Baptiste already has a spray that may reference Mario in the game, so it could be time for Blizzard to take this idea to the next level.

Overwatch 2 and Avatar: The Last Airbender

Overwatch 2 and Avatar The Last Airbender

The resemblance between several of the characters in Avatar: The Last Airbender and Blizzard's hero-shooter is actually quite astonishing. While it seems obvious that Zenyatta would make a perfect Aang, Orisa as Appa would undoubtedly draw quite the crowd. Mei as Toph could also work well if her ice abilities were retextured to look more like earth abilities alongside Widowmaker as Azula, Lucio as Sokka, Sigma as The Boulder, and Genji as Blue Spirit Zuko.

Overwatch 2 and DC Comics

DC Comics is home to several iconic personalities such as Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, and The Flash. Interestingly, there already happen to be several Overwatch heroes with a DC counterpart. Hanzo as Green Arrow seems like a given whereas Junkrat's maniacal persona matches The Joker's perhaps a little too well. Some fans have even voiced interest in Ashe as Black Canary, Roadhog as Bane, Tracer as Flash, and Doomfist as Cyborg.

Overwatch 2 and SpyxFamily

Though Spy x Family is one of the newer animes to gain a reputation in the past few years, there's no question that several of its characters would make for a fun mash-up in Overwatch 2. Widowmaker as the femme fatale of Yor makes all too much sense while Cole Cassidy could make for a lovely Loid. Kiriko as the peanut-loving Anya might be too powerful, but desirable nonetheless. Hammond as the family dog Bond would also likely be quite the hit if Overwatch 2 decided to make this concept a reality.

Overwatch 2 is out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
