One of the many new games announced at Gamescom earlier this year, Override 2 will have players joining Mech Leagues and earn rep by winning competitions. Leagues will feature all new mechs with different skillsets, but players can expect the return of some fan favorite mechs from the original game. Players will be able to earn sponsorships that can be used to purchase skills and upgrades for their mechs all while being able to complete daily challenges and earning new cosmetics for the mech itself.

Each arena in Override 2 is based off of actual real world locations and are themed off of a different motifs that feature hazards to avoid while in combat. Players will also be able to use part of certain arenas to their advantage with the abilty to chuck a building at one's opponent to catch them off guard. Fighting strategically with specific Override mechs means players can corner an opponent and unleash an Ultimate Attack .

While the career mode is a major feature of the sequel, the real challenge will come when players take their skills to the online competitive modes. Override 2 adds more mobility to the mechs, meaning the competition will be tougher with every win in the ranked online mode, helping players climb the ranks and face tougher opponents. Those not interested in ranks can partake in the the various other modes such as free-for-all, Xenoswarm, and King of the Hill, among others.

Override 2: Super Mech League launches December 22 for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
