Three whole episodes will be dropping on that day, with Max releasing another two every Thursday until the season finale on October 26, 2023. What Is Our Flag Means Death Season 2 Going to Be About?

Our Flag Means Death Stede Bonnet Edward Ed Blackbeard Teach Rhys Darby Taika Waititi

With the way that Season ended with a bunch of cliffhangers, Season 2 already promises to be plenty exciting. Though Stede and Ed had finally discovered their feelings for each other, they were driven apart when Stede visited his ex-wife and children to get closure, and Ed was left feeling heartbroken. He once again took on the fierce and scary persona he was once known for, now going by the name of "Kraken". He's in control of the ship Revenge now, and has taken Frenchie and Jim with him, separating them from the rest of the crew (who he left stranded on an island).

Season 2 will see developments in this storyline, and will (hopefully) include a reconciliation between Ed and Stede. Stede and the remaining members of his crew will be searching the seas for the Revenge, while Ed wreaks havoc as the Kraken. The season will also focus on Jim's attempted escape from the Revenge, though it seems as though their plans might be thwarted.

Season 2 of Our Flag Means Deathwill see the return of cast members Rhys Darby and Taika Waititi in the main roles, alongside Samson Kayo, Vico Ortiz, Ewen Bremner, Joel Fry, Matthew Maher, Kristian Nairn, Con O’Neill, David Fane, Samba Schutte, Nat Faxon, and Leslie Jones. There are some new people joining the fray as well, with actors Minnie Driver (Good Will Hunting, Ella Enchanted) and Bronson Pinchot (Beverly Hills Cop, True Romance) appearing as guest stars in Season 2. Driver will be portraying the iconic Irish pirate Anne Bonny, who was actually a real person.

Other guest stars throughout the season include Ruibo Qian (Black Mirror), Madeleine Sami (Super City), Anapela Polataivao (Night Shift), and Erroll Shand (Sweet Tooth). There have also been a lot of rumors flying around that Rachel House (Thor: Ragnarok, Moana) will be appearing on the show as the famed pirate Mary Read, though nothing has been confirmed yet. There is also the question of whether or not the character of Lucius will be returning after he was thrown from the ship in the Season 1 finale. Actor Nathan Foad has been absent from any of the teasers, but Lucius was such a fan-favorite character that most are expecting that the audience hasn't seen the end of him yet.
