After years of waiting, Ori and the Will of the Wisps has finally arrived. Now that the game is available on Xbox One and PC, and many players will be diving right in thanks to day one Game Pass access, it's time to start solving some platforming puzzles and helping Ori reunite with his adorable family.

Thoughout Ori and the Will of the Wisps, players will slowly unlock tons of new platforming and combat abilities. Many of these abilities are pretty self-explanatory and it's easy to see how they help to open up the Metroidvania-style game's map. Players who have been staring at purple rock walls for too long and can't quite figure out if they should be able to break through them or not have come to the right place. We'll consider this unlock a bit of spoiler territory, though it doesn't impact the plot at all, so stop reading here if you want to figure out this puzzle for yourselves.

So, to break through purple glowing rock walls, players will need to have unlocked the ability that allows Ori to slow down time and redirect projectiles. Although this ability is primarily used to propel Ori through the sky and avoid obstacles or reach higher platforms, there is the added benefit that the projectile will always fly in the opposite direction as Ori.

This means that players simply need to freeze a projectile and aim the arrow AWAY from the wall they want to break. This will send Ori flying in the direction of the arrow and the projectile towards the purple rock wall. In the area where this ability is unlocked, there are two purple rock walls to practice this maneuver on. Once players realize that it is the projectiles they should be sending into the barriers and not Ori, breaking them becomes a total breeze.
