The world of Pokemon is huge and full of wonders, and Pokemon Legends: Arceus gives players the opportunity to explore it in a brand-new way. Gamers are able to ride Pokemon, feed wild Pokemon, shake down trees to find hidden Pokemon, and even hide in the tall grass themselves. Now, one Pokemon Legends: Arceus player shares a wholesome clip of themself feeding a school of Magikarp.

Magikarp is known as the Fish Pokemon, and it's notorious for being underpowered and only knowing three moves in most titles: Splash, Tackle, and Flail. The in-game Pokedex can be quite mean to Magikarp, but some players are quite fond of the little Water-type, whether or not they want to catch one.

Redditor OneWhoGetsBread shared a short post dedicated to one of their favorite things to do in Pokemon Legends: Arceus--feed the wild Pokemon. In the game, players can throw berries near wild Pokemon to get their attention or calm them down. Once calm, the Pokemon may become friendly or simply linger around the player without becoming upset. This isn't the first game that has allowed players to give food to wild Pokemon, but it certainly makes it easy for players to shower stray creatures with berries.

In the video, a player is shown riding Basculegion across a body of water. When they come to a stop, they are soon surrounded by wild Magikarp, which paddle around them for a while before settling down. Although Magikarp isn't a particularly aggressive Pokemon--even Alpha Magikarp aren't really hostile due to their continued weakness--the player waits for them to calm down before throwing Oran berries in various directions. The Magikarp quickly swim after the berries and begin eating before the fruit can despawn. At the end of the video, the Pokemon seem to look at the player with awe and gratefulness.

It appears that other fans agree that feeding the wild Pokemon in Pokemon Legends: Arceus is very emotionally rewarding. One user noted that they always dump their entire food inventory when they spot a flock of blue Shellos padding around, while a second user was overjoyed to hear that players can feed Pokemon on the water. A number of other users shared stories of wild Pokemon hanging around with them, whether or not they'd been fed first. One user even declared that OneWhoGetsBread was adorable should be protected for their kindness.

Pokemon Legends: Arceus is available now exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
