Crafting a character is the first things players will do in Ooblets and, to be honest, the customization options are among the lowest in games that allow for customization at all. Barring games that have default characters, this seems like a pretty drastic oversight for the game.

However, it turns out this is more of an appetizer and not the main course. There are some clothing and haircut options in Ooblets that are available, just not right at the start. For those wanting to get more than just balding or ponytails, there are plenty of options in between.

Changing Haircuts

Ooblets Heading Into Snups For A Haircut

It turns out there is a professional barber in Badgetown! Padrig is the guy to see and he's got his own place called Snups on the right side. It's hard to miss, look for the rotating scissors above the door. Padrig does tend to wander, so if he's not here, run around for a while, knock out some tasks, and come back later.

If his current selection isn't enough, farm up some wishies and head to the Wishywell in the center of the town, it's the big fountain. There, players can unlock more options at Snups by expanding the shop. Finally, gamers will be able to have lots of options to get their hair and facial hair just the way they like it.

Changing Clothes

Ooblets Changing Clothes From The Almanac

Changing clothes is much less complicated and can be done at any place at any time outside of cutscenes and dance-offs. Simply open up the Almanac and click the "Clothing" button under the "Stuff!" tab. From here, players have a full lineup of outfits, shoes, pants, and more.

Getting more clothing can be done at the Kibbonbon shop to the left of the fountain. It has the waving cat logo above the door. This isn't the only way to get more clothing, however. Members of the town and neighboring villages will often lend the character duplicates of their own clothes in exchange for helping them or beating them in a dance-off.

Ooblets is available now for PC, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
