Ooblets is a game of farming, dance-offs, and hordes of adorable critters. New players are dropped into Badgetown without much more than the clothes on their back, and expected to build a thriving farm populated by helpful Ooblets.
Cute and cartoony the world may be, but players still won't get far without making some hard cash. Or perhaps that should be soft cash, given that the people of Badgetown primarily deal in Gummies. Either way, players will need Gummies for everything from new seeds to fancy furniture, and knowing how to earn them is the key to success.
Lending a Helping Hand
One of the most reliable ways to earn Gummies is by visiting Rugnolia. Badgetown's resident scientist is hard at work in the top right corner of the map, where she studies Ooblets. Whenever a player discovers a new species she'll pay to scan it in her machine, for a respectable 50 Gummies a time. This is particularly good in the early game, when there are plenty of new Ooblets to be found.
Further into the game, the vending machine outside the farmhouse will become available. This allows players to complete Plenny's Bulk Orders. They're basically fetch quests, but can pay an awful lot of Gummies too. Often players will be asked to hand in quantities of different items, which can be anything from beds to clothplant seeds. In return, they'll receive a reward of up to a whopping 600 Gummies, more than worth the effort.
Wishes and Commerce
Besides Gummies, the second major currency in Ooblets is Wishies. These are less tangible, but can be exchanged for upgrades in the Wishie Well menu. It's even possible to exchange Wishies for Gummies, though players may not always be keen to do so. This is because the upgrades that can be unlocked at the Wishie Well are some of the most important in the game, particularly early on. For those who've grabbed all the upgrades they want however, or just need Gummies in a hurry, 100 Gummies can be bought for 50 Wishies.
Finally, the simplest way to make Gummies in Badgetown is to sell items to the community's various shops. All over Badgetown there are traders ready to dispense seeds, furniture, clothing, but they're also ready to buy. They prefer to trade in their own specialization, so if players are selling farm materials make sure to head to Meed's Seeds. To trade, simply approach the register and begin selling. While the prices aren't always great, it's the best way to get some value from redundant resources.
