Although the art design might make Ooblets look like a game for kids, from the very start, there is a high degree of difficulty. Using limited resources and energy, players are somehow supposed to compete in a world full of citizens that are more than ready will a full team of capable ooblets, ready to dance.

The problem is that some ooblets are easy to get ahold of, but not really all that fantastic in the long term. Conversely, there are others who are fantastic, but completely inaccessible due to either being locked in another area or requiring a resource to acquire which can't be gathered for most of the game. Good news! Ooblets has a couple of creatures that are easy to acquire and strong for the entire game.

Tud

Ooblets Receiving Tud From the Club

Picking which club to join is a tough but meaningful decision. While all four of the ooblets offered up can be snagged at some point, none will be available until the endgame. Gamers are given a hint as to what the cards for each do, but don't get the specifics.

There is a strong case for each of these. Yet special consideration must be given to Tud, the ooblet delivered when players join the Frunbuns. He works nicely with the other ooblets that are available in this area. His moves are cost-effective. Other support ooblets exist in the early game, they just aren't as efficient as Tud.

Lumpstump

Ooblets Getting A Lumpstump Seed After A Battle

Players get a dance-off with a Lumpstump right away after getting their first ooblet. Even after getting this one, try to get at least two more for the low price of four pieces of wood. Lumpstumps do serious work on the scoreboards and will be carrying teams when it comes to sheer point values.

Lumpstumps incredibly can add both hype to the player's team and fluster to the opponents. Mastering buffs and debuffs is critical to success. Being able to gain points, steal points, add hype, and give fluster in a single ooblet makes this little feller's value too good to pass up.

Clomper

Ooblets A Line Of Clompers Doing Battle

For the price of two Sweetiebeeties, this first crop received, players can get ahold of a Clomper seed. Clomper is, in most situations, the most overpowered ooblet in the game. With an arsenal of stuns which are rather inexpensive, opponents often don't get a turn when going against Clomper.

For the cost of three beats, Clomper can stun the entire team, skipping their turn entirely. In dance-offs of three or fewer ooblets, Clomper is even stronger, able to stun single units for no cost at all. Always have a few Clompers to give the game an easy-mode feeling.

Ooblets is available now for PC, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
