It's been quite some time since the second season of the One-Punch Man anime, so the next season should be around the corner soon. There were so many amazing things that happened in the second season, but the story was mostly about two things; Garou The Hero Hunter, and the advent of the Monster Association.

The last time Garou appeared on-screen, he was beaten to a pulp by his former master, old man Bang, also known as the S-class hero Silver Fang. Unfortunately, before he could finish off his deranged disciple, a colossal centipede appeared. In an instant, a monster called the Phoenix Man snatched Garou and took him away to the Monster Association HQ. Not long after that, the dragon-class monster centipede was pulverized by Saitama's Serious Punch. After that, the people present, namely King, Silverfang, Deathwind, and Genos, hang out at Saitama's apartment. That is how the second season ended. The manga, of course, has progressed way beyond that point. So, based on the manga, what can fans expect on the third season of One-Punch Man?

Garou Monsterfication

The second season introduced something called "Monster Cells", a fruit-like substance that can forcefully transform a strong human into a strong monster. However, despite his evil nature and violent tendencies, Garou refuses to consume the Monster Cells. He doesn't need anybody's help because he's determined to become a monster in his own way.

Slowly but surely, through various intense battles against heroes and monsters alike, Garou manages to grow and get stronger. He suffers many defeats, but he always keeps on getting back until he finally awakens the power beyond his wildest imagination. Season 3 will see Garou beating up S-Class heroes and Dragon-Level monsters, one after the other.

The Truth About The Monster King

The second season shows a glimpse into what the Monster King actually looks like. The third season will finally let him take more of a center stage and properly show off his immense power. This towering monster can tap the power of the core of the earth and use it to wreak havoc against his opponent, which incidentally will be Saitama himself.

However, there is something even more important that will be revealed in season 3 regarding the nature of Orochi. The heroes don't really have any information about this mythical being, but it is assumed that Orochi is some kind of ancient being that is suddenly awakened from his slumber. Apparently, that’s not the case at all. There is someone lurking in the shadows that is secretly calling the shots within the Monster Association. That person is also the one that holds the key to the truth behind Orochi.

S-Class Heroes Fighting Together

S-Class heroes are insanely powerful, super eccentric, and nearly impossible to control. The hero association can merely ask for their help, they cannot order them around. Not to mention the fact that most of them prefer to work alone. After all, teamwork is unnecessary when you can take out powerful monsters by yourself.

That being said, the events in season 3 will force them to work together for the first time. Tornado of Terror, Atomic Samurai, Silver Fang, Demon Cyborg, Dark Shine, Child Emperor, King, and all other S-Class heroes will encounter monsters that will give them a run for their money. Not only the S-Class, numerous heroes from A-Class and all the way to the C-Class are also taking part during this large-scale battle. Some act as support for the S-Class, while others help in the evacuation efforts.

Mind-blowing Action Sequences

Saitama Going All Out On The Mole People In His Dream

There have been numerous crazy fight scenes throughout the two seasons of One-Punch Man. From fighting monsters, sea creatures, and even aliens, One-Punch Man is a series where intense action sequences and unbelievable powers blend together to form one thrilling and exciting anime experience. Nevertheless, season 3 will dwarf everything that happened before it. As mentioned before, there will be a large-scale battle that will involve almost every S-Class hero along with so many other powerful beings.

Saeson 3 will have countless laser beams and energy attacks both from the heroes, particularly Genos and S-Class hero Drive Knight, and various monsters, such as Orochi himself. Fans can also expect there to be tons of amazing action sequences as well. Moreover, depending on how much of the manga will be adapted into the anime, there will also be an incredibly overpowered monster awaiting the series' heroes, and a big surprise reveal featuring Tatsumaki as well. It truly is just one mind-blowing moment after the other.

Saitama And Flashy Flash

Flashy Flash in One-Punch Man

One of the surprising things that will happen in the third season is the pairing of Saitama and the S-Class rank 13 hero, Flashy Flash. He is the only speedster within the S-Class group, and arguably the fastest hero right now. Flashy Flash is actually a ninja who graduated from the same school as other ninjas in the series who donned redundant names, such as "Speed-o'-Sound Sonic", "Hellfire Flame", and "Gale Wind".

During the attack on the Monster Association HQ, Flashy Flash moves ahead of the other heroes in order to defeat the Monster King first. At the time, Saitama is wandering around the Monster HQ without any particular idea where he is going. That is when both of them accidentally stumble upon each other. One thing leads to another, they end up traveling the maze together in order to find Orochi. Surprisingly enough, both of them provide much-needed comic relief for the story.

As mentioned earlier, it is unclear how much of the manga will be adapted into the third season of the One-Punch Man anime. Not to mention that the manga itself is still in the middle of the Hero Association Arc right now. So the anime might end up chasing the manga. That being said, one thing for sure is the fact that when season 3 finally comes around, it’s quite clear that it will be one of the best seasons yet.
