Having been mentioned decades ago, fans have, ever since then, been waiting for Oda to draw this incredible arc in more detail. After all, Elbaf is a magical place inspired by Norse mythology and Scandinavian culture that many, including Oda himself, absolutely love.

It is no surprise to know that Oda himself has been itching to draw this arc, especially since it is in the final saga of One Piece, which he has himself confirmed that he has wanted to draw most of all. Elbaf might just be the biggest arc in One Piece to date, and it is now on the cusp of beginning in the manga. Before that happens, however, fans might want to know more about the warland that is Elbaf and why the upcoming arc is going to be important.

The History Of Elbaf

While fans have never explored the island of Elbaf properly, they have seen bits from here and there. The very first bit of information that fans saw from Elbaf came through Dorry and Brogy, whom fans saw on Little Garden, a prehistoric island between Whiskey Peak and Arabasta. On this incredible island, Dorry and Brogy were seen engaging in their 100-year-long duel. This duel was fought for honor and, given that they are heavily inspired by Norse culture, it was supposed to end with the death of one of them, with the other being declared as the captain of the Giant Warrior Pirates. This arc gave fans their first taste of Elbaf and the incredible importance that the Giants place on honor itself.

As the story continued, fans also got to see more of the land of Elbaf. In fact, in the Big Mom flashback, fans actually got a proper glimpse of this warland, where a lot of details about this place were revealed. The former captains of the Giant Warrior Pirates, Jorul and Jarul, were revealed to the fans as well and a village in the land of Elbaf was focused on quite a bit.

At the same time, the culture of those in Elbaf was also focused on quite a bit. In particular, fans saw them celebrate Winter Solstice, which was a 12-day fasting event at the end of which was a giant festival, held to pay tribute to the God of the Sun. Of course, fans know that the Sun God in the world of One Piece is none other than Nika and, for that reason, it was a massive implication towards the ties between Nika and the people of Elbaf itself.

When it comes to the mystical nature of the Warland, fans know that the tree of Yggdrasil could potentially exist on Elbaf, given that there was a massive tree that fans could see in the background whenever this particular island was under focus. This remained true even when the story tackled Shanks arriving on Elbaf and setting out to defend it against Kid and his pirate group.

The Strength Of Elbaf

One of the biggest reasons why the Elbaf arc will be incredibly exciting is the fact that this arc will see the strongest in the story gather in one place. Elbaf is practically the strongest country in the entire world. This is a confirmed fact and the might of this country is said to be unparalleled. No force or race is strong enough to compete against the Giants of Elbaf. Even the incredible Lunarians, who are considered to be the Gods of the One Piece world, are not given the title of the strongest, yet, the race of the giants who reside on Elbaf are. In fact, the strength of the Giants of Elbaf was such that when the two giants in Big Mom's Flashback were about to be executed, a threat from Mother Carmel, which stated that the Giants would go to war against the World Government for them, was strong enough to deter them. In comparison, even the threat of war against the Whitebeard Pirates was not strong enough to deter the Navy during the execution of Ace, and this paints quite a picture.

The strength of the Giants is such that Big Mom's own attacks have been inspired by them. Big Mom's Ikoku Sovereignty, or Spear of Elbaf, is based on the mighty warriors of the land of Elbaf. Furthermore, Big Mom herself believed that if he gained access to Elbaf's army, she would have defeated all the other Four Emperors, including Kaido, Shanks, and of course, Whitebeard as well. When looking at the incredible strength of Elbaf, fans know that what is coming next is going to see every major fighter in the One Piece world display the best of their skills and take their power to the next level.

Why Elbaf Will Break The Internet

When taking into consideration what is coming next, Elbaf has a lot to offer. First and foremost, fans know that the very biggest thing that will likely break the internet once One Piece tackles Elbaf is the revelation pertaining to the Sun God. Fans know that the people of Elbaf worship the Sun God and they pay tribute to the sun through the Winter Solstice. This in itself proves that there are connections between this race and the Joy Boy that existed 800 years ago. They seem to be allies of the Ancient Kingdom as well as Nika himself.

When taking into consideration the fact that Giants and the One Piece world live up to 350 years or more, then, for them, knowing more about the existence of Joy Boy isn't hard. It just goes three generations back and that is something that they might then have a lot of information about. As such, fans could potentially find out a lot of information about the Void Century and even Nika himself in the Elbaf arc.

However, that isn't the only thing that will help Elbaf break the internet. Perhaps, the thing that fans are waiting for the most in the Elbaf arc are the incredible reunions and fights. There are also other major forces at play here and it is highly likely that the Revolutionary Army will begin the battle against the Holy Knights. Furthermore, Blackbeard, who is already on the move, could end up showing himself in Elbaf, given that he is likely to go hunt for the other Poneglyphs. There are many things that are going to come into play once Oda starts to tackle the arc of Elbaf, with major wars breaking out, some of the most anticipated reunions happening, and of course, some revelations from the Void Century being made. All things point towards Elbaf being an all-timer One Piece arc.
