One Piece is currently in its Egghead Island Arc and it has certainly been an incredible start to the Final Saga of the series. Fans have thoroughly enjoyed the Final Saga so far and it keeps getting better with each passing chapter. Currently, it appears that the Egghead Island Arc is in its climax, meaning that the Egghead incident is being tackled at the moment.
This incident is sure to feature some incredible clashes and one of the biggest ones of all is Luffy versus Kizaru. It is expected of Luffy to be under the spotlight, however, Zoro is also playing a very important role here. In the previous chapter, fans got to see Zoro take on Lucci in what appears to be an intense fight and a lot of that is going to be explored in the upcoming chapters.
Zoro Vs Lucci In The Past
Zoro is one of the strongest fighters of the Straw Hat Pirates and he is certainly one not to shy away from difficult challenges. In the past, he has fought against some of the strongest enemies of the crew and that also includes Lucci. In the Water Seven Saga, the matchups for the Straw Hat Pirates were established quite early on. Luffy was to take on Lucci, while Zoro was to take on Kaku. At the same time, Sanji fought against Jabra, Nami fought against Kalifa, Chopper fought against Kumadori, and Franky fought against Fukuro. These clashes were all very interesting, however, before the final clashes were set, Oda had Zoro fight against Lucci as well.
This happened moments after Luffy was taken out by the leopard man. Zoro tested his luck against the hybrid form of Lucci and, to his surprise, his attacks were blocked quite easily. Lucy then proceeded to kick Zoro out of the building and eventually, he got stuck in the chimney. This was one of Zoro's many defeats, although a minor one. Given that Zoro is not one to forget, he must remember this beating that he took from Lucci back in the day. A character like him would want revenge and it is time for him to exact it now, on Egghead Island, in his clash against Rob Lucci, one of the elites of the world government.
Zoro Vs Lucci On Egghead
On Egghead Island, a lot of fights are currently going down. In the previous chapter, Luffy clashed against Kizaru for everyone to see and it was certainly the start of a very intense battle. Luffy is holding onto the memories of the past when Kizaru utterly destroyed him and his group on Sabaody, nearly two years ago. Now, it is time to prove that things are different and try to overcome his enemies. The same applies to Zoro as well. Fans know that he is incredibly powerful and capable enough to prove that he is much stronger than before the timeskip, and there is no better way to prove it than by defeating a powerful unit of the World Government.
In the previous chapter, as soon as Kizaru made it to the Labophase, Lucci understood that it was time for him to strike as well. His target was Dr. Vegapunk, and he attempted to assassinate him with a powerful Finger Pistol. Thankfully, Stussy got in the way and blocked this attempt at his life.
Zoro immediately took action and attacked Lucci, who then proceeded to block this powerful strike with his leg coated in Haki. The two then took this fight outside the building, and it is likely going to continue there. Lucci is the second strongest on Egghead Island right now and that only means Zoro is going to rise to the challenge and defeat him.
How Strong Is Lucci?
When it comes to strength, Lucci is incredibly powerful right now. Even before the timeskip, he was a menace for Luffy to deal with. He had to evolve to the next level to defeat this powerful agent of the World Government and he certainly didn't find it easy. In fact, had it not been for the extra push Usopp gave to him, it would have been impossible for Luffy to beat him. Thankfully, he managed to pull it off and beat Lucci. Currently, however, Lucci is much stronger. For one, he has mastered the power of Haki to the fullest. Even though he had Haki before the timeskip, as evident from some of his Rokushiki techniques. Currently, he is a much better user of this skill.
He has also managed to awaken his Devil Fruit and that is his biggest strength at the moment. Fans saw him use his Awakening during his fight against Luffy and even though he was overwhelmed, he certainly put up a decent fight and managed to tank some powerful hits as well. His awakening makes him a completely different beast and puts him above the level of a Yonko Commander, at the very least. When compared to King, Lucci might not have the incredible toughness of the Lunarian race, however, he has Awakened his Devil Fruit, which appears to be much more dangerous and, at the same time, his Haki is tremendously better as well. It wouldn't be a stretch to say that he is the better fighter of the two.
The Winner Of Zoro Vs Lucci
Zoro versus Lucci is most certainly going to continue over the course of the next few chapters and it is only going to heat up from here onwards. Currently, neither of the fighters is using their full powers. Zoro only went into the clash with two swords in the last chapter. Meanwhile, Lucci did not utilize his Devil Fruit at all. In the next chapter, these two characters could take it to the next level. Zoro can get his third sword out and Lucci can tap into the powers of his Devil Fruit. This also means that fans have a chance to see Zoro tap into the power of the Color of the Supreme King once again. This power was awakened by him not that long ago and it is time to put it into practice once again.
When comparing the two, Zoro appears to be at a significant advantage in terms of offensive output. However, he does not have the stamina that Lucci possesses. This is due to the fact that utilizing Enma drains his Haki at an incredibly fast rate and he can only fight for a few minutes at best. Meanwhile, Lucci's Zoan Devil Fruit ensures that he can take part in a long and dragged-out fight. This fight is going to be more even than fans give it credit for, however, all things considered, Zoro absolutely cannot lose it. For one, he has a stronger arsenal of weapons and, at the same time, if Zoro loses, other members of the Straw Hat Pirates can end up dying as well. Failure is not an option here and, for that reason, Zoro absolutely has to win.
