To achieve this goal, Zoro had to beat Dracule Mihawk, the current holder of the title. The first fight between the two did not go well for Zoro, and he was utterly humiliated. However, he refused to give up on his dream. Since then, Zoro has defeated many notable One Piece characters, and his swords have played a key role in his achievements. Not all of his swords are of the same quality; in fact, some are superior to others. With that in mind, here are all the swords wielded by Roronoa Zoro in One Piece.

5 Yubashiri

Zoro gets yubashiri one piece

The Yubashiri was one of the 50 Ryo Wazamono grade swords. It was in the possession of Ipponmatsu, and he called it his family relic. The shopkeeper kept the sword hidden but changed his mind after he saw Zoro's determination to handle the Sandai Kitetsu.

Ipponmatsu believed that the sword would be more useful in the hands of Zoro, so he gave it away for free. Zoro used the sword in many battles until it was destroyed by Shu. The Navy Captain used his Sabi Sabi no Mi to rust the sword and render it useless. Zoro carried Yubashiri with him until he got Shusui on Thriller Bark. He laid the remains of the sword to rest on Moria's ship.

4 Sandai Kitetsu

Zoro tests luck with sandai kitetsu one piece

The Sandai Kitetsu is a Wazamono grade sword that was forged by Kozuki Sukiyaki, the father of Kozuki Oden. It is a cursed sword, which means only the bravest people can wield it. Despite being created in Wano, the sword was exported and ended up in the hands of Ipponmatsu. However, he refused to sell Sandai Kitetsu because of its cursed nature.

So the sword lay in a barrel until Zoro asked to buy it. Ipponmatsu was reluctant to sell because he feared something bad might happen to Zoro. The swordsman refused to give up and decided to test his luck by throwing the sword in the air to see whether his luck would triumph or not. After the sword avoided his extended arm, Ipponmatsu gave it to Zoro. It is one of the three swords that Zoro currently wields alongside Enma and Wado Ichimonji.

3 Wado Ichimonji

The Wado Ichimonji was the first notable sword that Roronoa Zoro laid hands on. The blade was made by Shimotsuki Kozaburo, and he considered it a family heirloom. Originally, the sword belonged to Kuina, but after her sudden death, Zoro asked Koshiro if he could have it. The dojo master was more than happy to pass it down to his second-best student.

The Wado Ichimonji has great emotional value for Zoro. He considers it a prized treasure, and he is unwilling to part with it. The sword belonged to his rival and friend, Kuina. Both of them promised to become great swordsmen, but Kuina's tragic death changed everything. So, Zoro took it upon himself to achieve the dream that they both shared. Before the timeskip, Zoro used the sword whenever he wanted to utilize the One-Sword style. After getting his hands on Shusui, his preference changed.

2 Shusui

Zoro found Shusui in the Thriller Bark arc. The Straw Hats went to Moria's ship and found many oddities on the island. The most bizarre thing that the crew encountered was the Shichibukai's army of zombies. Gecko Moria used his Kage Kage no Mi powers to steal the shadows of his opponents and give them to corpses.

One of the many corpses that Moria turned into his pawns was that of Ryuma, a legendary swordsman from Wano. Many years prior to the story, Moria stole Ryuma's corpse along with the Shusui. The Shichibukai then used his power to steal Brook's shadow and give it to Ryuma's corpse. Brook tried to get his shadow back, but he was unable to defeat Ryuma. Ultimately, it was Zoro who vanquished Ryuma. As a sign of respect, Ryuuma presented Shusui to him. The sword is a prized treasure of Wano, and it is one of the 21 O Wazamono grade swords. As the blade of Ryuma, Shusui is one of the best swords in the entire world. Zoro continued to wield the blade until Gyukimaru stole it.

1 Enma

zoro picks up enma one piece

Enma is without a doubt the most powerful sword that Zoro has wielded to date. It is an O Wazamono grade sword, which means that it is among the best blades in One Piece. The blade was crafted by the legendary swordsmith Shimotsuki Kozaburo. Enma has the unique ability to draw out the Haki of an individual. When Zoro picked up the sword, he immediately realized that it was not ordinary.

Zoro struggled in his fight against King, as he still hadn't gained proper control over Enma. However, it is important to remember that without the sword, he couldn't have used his Haoshoku Haki. Since Enma has yet to be blackened, there is a possibility that it may become a Saijo O Wazamono grade sword. Once that happens, Zoro will have one of the most deadly weapons in the series.
