Vivi is an exceptionally important character in One Piece and although she has not been all that relevant after the conclusion of the Arabasta Saga, things are different now that One Piece has entered its Final Saga. A few years ago, Oda teased the fact that Vivi, Hancock, and Sabo would be central to the future events of the story. Now, the time is here for these characters to shine and, by the looks of it, all of them have a very important role to play, which means Vivi is going to be extremely important from here onwards.

Fans know Vivi to be a character who has a great bond with the Straw Hat Pirates. In fact, she is an honorary remember of the crew, which could also mean that she will soon officially be the 10th member of the Straw Hat Pirates.

Vivi's Journey With The Straw Hat Crew

Vivi One Piece 1060

Vivi was introduced to the fans as Miss Wednesday during the Reverse Mountain arc as soon as the Straw Hat Pirates entered the Grand Line. Although she was an antagonist at first, it didn't take long for Oda to reveal that she was actually a Princess of a faraway kingdom who had come looking for information on a criminal that wanted to lay her country to ruin. This pirate was none other than Sir Crocodile. While Vivi did find out some bits from here and there, soon after, she was to be disposed of by the organization that she had infiltrated. That is precisely when the Straw Hat Pirates stepped in and decided to save her.

The crew took Vivi onboard and planned to go all the way to Arabasta to dispose of Mr. Zero, better known by the name of Sir Crocodile. Vivi went to several islands with the crew before she finally landed in Arabasta. The crew went to Little Garden and even Drum Island before finally setting foot on her home soil. There, Vivi traveled far and wide to save the country from eating itself alive in a Civil War and, at the same time, she played a role in destroying Crocodile once and for all. It was thanks to the incredible friends that she made that Vivi was able to save her people and, eventually, she played a very important role in the Arabasta story arc.

Fans were already accustomed to seeing Vivi with the crew by this point, however, sadly, she decided to stay behind and not join the Straw Hat Pirates. At the end of the day, Arabasta was her country and she did not want to leave her people behind. Vivi is a very caring ruler and, for her, the more important duty was to stay behind and take care of her people. Nonetheless, before they parted ways, Vivi made sure to promise them that they will meet again in the future and, when they do, she wanted them to call her a crewmate once again.

This all but confirms Vivi as a member of the Straw Hat Pirates in the future of the story, which means that she is, in fact, the 10th member of the Straw Hat crew, regardless of what theories fans have when it comes to this position.

Vivi's Return After The Timeskip

While fans did not see much of the Straw Hat Pirates after the events of the Arabasta arc wrapped up, Vivi started getting involved more after the timeskip. When the Straw Hat Pirates returned, Vivi reacted to the news with great joy. Furthermore, when they received even higher bounties, Vivi was, once again, overjoyed at seeing this. It wasn't until the Reverie finally kicked off that Vivi entered the fray once again in a proper manner. Just like all other royalty, Vivi went to attend the World Council atop the Red Line in the Holy Land of Marijoa. There, Vivi played a very important role.

For the most part, it was Cobra, Vivi's father, who had some questions for those running the World Government. Meanwhile, Vivi met other allies of the Straw Hat Pirates, such as Rebecca and Shirahoshi. She also familiarized herself with the likes of Koby and even the members of the Straw Hat Grand Fleet. Being the brave and heroic woman that she is, Vivi helped save Shirahoshi when things looked bleak for her and, moving forward in the arc, her role only got more pronounced.

Curiously, Vivi found herself getting some unwanted attention from Imu, the person who was revealed to be the sovereign of the entire world in One Piece. For some reason, Imu wants Vivi and fans do not know why at this point. Of course, this can be linked back to their bond with Queen Nefertari D. Lily, however, what they want from Vivi is not known at this point in time. Nonetheless, Vivi found herself in trouble once again at the Reverie shortly after the conclusion of the council meeting. Her father, King Cobra was assassinated by those of the World Government for asking about the secret meaning of the D and, more importantly, figuring out the identity of Imu.

In the meanwhile, Vivi was kidnapped by the Cipher Pol members and she was all set to be made a slave or be brought to none other than Imu themselves. Thankfully, it was Wapol who ended up becoming a hero and saved the day by taking Vivi with him from the Holy Land of Marijoa. The two were eventually rescued by Morgans and are currently with him. While Vivi appears to be safe for now, it is quite clear to see that she is going to be very important in the story from here onwards, especially now that the Straw Hat Pirates have heard about her situation as well.

Vivi As The 10th Straw Hat

The Straw Hats Gathered Together

Vivi is certainly going to meet the Straw Hat Pirates once again and that much goes without saying. In fact, after the Straw Hat Pirates left Wano, they found out about the disappearance of Princess Vivi. They all want to help her, however, for now, they are not getting involved because they want to get a lead on where she is exactly before they can jump in to rescue her. At the same time, the Straw Hat Pirates also trust her ability to get herself out of trouble. However, when she asks for help, they will be there for her, which just goes to show that they are true friends indeed and that their bond is very strong. It is safe to say that Vivi will find herself in trouble sooner or later since the person who is currently after her is none other than the sovereign of the world, Imu. If that were to happen, the Straw Hat Pirates will get involved in the situation and this could escalate into a war breaking out, given that the Straw Hat Crew is now a Yonko crew.

This would mean that Vivi will eventually reunite with the Straw Hat Crew, no matter what. This is especially true when taking into consideration the fact that Vivi cannot go back to Arabasta either. The people of the World Government will hunt her down and her back to Imu if she wants to do so. For her, the safest place to be right now is with her crew and found family. As soon as Vivi reunites with them, she will be declared as the 10th member of the Straw Hat Crew.

Of course, Vivi joining the crew doesn't mean that other people can't. It simply means that the 10th crew member position is saved for Vivi and that has always been the case ever since the Arabasta Saga of One Piece. For now, fans should wait in anticipation for the crew to rescue Vivi and for her to rejoin the group once again.
