Is One Piece's haki portrayal consistant?

For instance, the Roger Pirates were head and shoulders above every single pirate crew that the fans have seen in One Piece. In fact, this crew is known to have had four conquerors on board, and that in itself paints quite a picture of what the Straw Hat Pirates must look like from the end of One Piece.

What Is Conqueror's Haki?

The Rarest Type Of Haki in One Piece

Conqueror's Haki is an incredible ability that exists in the One Piece world. This is an amazing power that, unlike the other two types of Haki, resides only within one in a million. This Haki is absolutely incredible. It can be said that Conqueror's Haki is present only among certain individuals who possess great ambition. Essentially, Conqueror's Haki allows the user to manifest their willpower and exert it on others. Those with weaker willpower cannot stand in front of a true conqueror. They are knocked out immediately, which just goes to show how strong the willpower of the wielder of this ability is.

Haki' is a power that lies dormant in all the world's creatures.'Presence', 'fighting spirit' and 'intimidation.' It is not different from the things that humans can naturally sense such as these.'The act of not doubting'. That is strength!

Imposing one's own willpower depends on how much ambition they have. The greater the ambition, the stronger the Conqueror's Haki. Of course, Conqueror's Haki is also directly tied to the strength of the user. The stronger the user, the stronger their Conqueror's Haki will get. That said, Conqueror's Haki cannot be directly trained, unlike the other two types of Haki. It grows with the user, and, as a result, is entirely dependent on the willpower, as well as the level that the user is currently on.

One Piece: The Haki Users Of The Straw Hat Grand Fleet, Ranked

These members of One Piece's Straw Hat Grand Fleet have the best haki.

Conqueror’s Haki can be used in many ways, and its applications are far beyond just knocking other people out. In Wano, fans were introduced to the advanced version of Conqueror's Haki. By infusing this power, one can gain the ability to utilize it as armor, just like Armament Haki. Only, with Conqueror's Haki, the offensive as well as the defensive prowess is much greater. A single hit from a Conqueror's Haki-infused blow is strong enough to take down even some elite Pirates of the One Piece World, and that speaks volumes when it comes to how strong this ability is.

The Conqueror's Haki Users In The Straw Hat Pirates

Luffy's Underlings Have Incredible Ambition

Within the Straw Hat Pirates, the fans have seen quite a few conquerors already. Luffy is the first individual to awaken Conqueror's Haki in the Straw Hat Pirates. He did so before the 2-year timeskip. During this timeskip, he gained mastery over the basic form of Conqueror's Haki. Luffy did incredibly well with this power, and over the years, he has collided with many conquerors, such as Doflamingo, Don Chinjao, Big Mom, Kaido, and Katakuri, among others. In Wano, Luffy finally attained advanced Conqueror's Haki, and using this power, he was finally able to clash evenly with Kaido, and eventually, with another boost that came from Gear 5, defeat him.

“I don’t want to conquer anything. I just think that the guy with the most freedom in this whole ocean… is the Pirate King!” – Monkey D. Luffy

Along with Luffy, Zoro is also a Conqueror's Haki user in One Piece. It can be said that Zoro HAS great ambition, and he awakened this ability in Wano. With this power, Zoro was able to take down King, and even scar Kaido. This power was brought out of Zoro by Enma, the sword that Oden entrusted to his kids, and Hiyorii ended up giving to Zoro. Of course, Zoro is a great Conqueror’s Haki user. There are other members of the Straw Hat Pirates who will most definitely end up getting Conqueror's Haki later down the line.

The Future Conqueror's Haki Users In the Straw Hats

Many Members Of The Straw Hat Crew Can Gain Conqueror’s Haki

Within the Straw Hat Pirates, there are two Conqueror's Haki users already. However, within the Roger Pirates, there were four Conqueror's Haki users, and these were Roger, Rayleigh, Oden, and Shanks. There could've been other potential users of Conqueror's Haki in the Roger Pirates that the fans do not know about. But, four is still a great number. Within the Straw Hat Pirates, there are only two at the moment, and there is certainly room for more to show up later down the line.

The first individual who could potentially end up getting Conqueror's Haki in One Piece later down the line is Sanji. Sanji is one of the strongest members of the Straw Hat Pirates, and he does have great ambition, even though he has a self-sacrificial character at times. Sanji aims to find the legendary sea, the All Blue, which is a goal that is comparable to finding the One Piece itself. Sanji also has the blood of the conquerors, thanks to his father, whom he resents. He has royal blood and, thanks to that, he has a great chance of becoming a conqueror in the final Saga of One Piece. Above all, Sanji also has the capabilities of a leader, which he has displayed on the many occasions that he has led the Straw Hat Pirates on.

Another individual who could end up getting Conqueror's Haki in the future of One Piece from the Straw Hat Pirates is Usopp. Usopp certainly does not possess great leadership qualities, however, he has been a leader in the past. Usopp has a great dream, and his ambition is to become a Great Warrior of the Sea. It's not a grand ambition, however, it is still one that could end up giving him Conqueror's Haki. Above all, Usopp has made statements about having Conqueror's Haki on several occasions in the past. A trait of Usopp's character is lying, and often, the things he lies about come true. As a result, it is entirely possible for Usopp to wield Conqueror's Haki in the future of One Piece. This could eventually signify him truly becoming a great warrior of the sea, and surpassing even his father, Yasopp.

If these two individuals end up gaining Conqueror's Haki, then the Straw Hat Pirates will end up with four conquerors onboard, and that certainly would go on to show that they have surpassed even the Roger Pirates. At the same time, there are other members who might end up joining the Straw Hat Pirates in the future and show abilities of a conqueror. Yamato has always been a character who many fans expect to join the Straw Hat Pirates as well. Just like Yamato, there are others who could end up joining later down the line and be users of Conqueror's Haki. As rare as this ability is, the Straw Hat Pirates aim to become the strongest and the greatest crew of all time, and for them to have multiple conquerors should not surprise anyone.

One Piece is available to read via Viz Media. The series can be read by the fans officially and for free on the Shonen Jump and the Manga Plus app. The release date for the next chapter of One Piece, One Piece 1112, is set to be April 21, 2024.
