Sanji is one of the most important One Piece characters, being a part of the East Blue 5, which form the core of the Straw Hat Pirates. Sanji is a seafaring cook who many believe to be the best in the world already. At the same time, he's also a combatant and one of the strongest fighters in the Straw Hat Pirates, being one of the two Wings of the Pirate King.

Sanji possesses tremendous strength up his sleeve and his notoriety in the One Piece world is incredibly high already. However, Sanji still has a lot more to offer and that only means that as the story progresses further, his bounty is likely to increase more as well. While Sanji already possesses a very high reward on his head, this reward is likely to get much higher as the story heads deeper into the final saga.

Sanji's Bounties Before Wano

Sanji in One Piece

Sanji has received many bounties in One Piece over the years. In fact, Sanji is a character whose bounties could have been higher had the World Government recognized him as a threat early on in the story. He was actually bounty-less until Enies Lobby. At this point, his strength far surpassed any average fighter and the fact that he did not have a bounty placed on his head certainly does affect his overall valuation. Essentially, Sanji could actually have had a higher bounty over the years but the fact that his skill was recognized so late meant that the reward was lower.

For instance, when Sanji fought against Blueno on the Sea Train, Kaku mentioned that he is actually one of the strongest members of the Straw Hat Pirates, even if he does not have a bounty on his head. Sanji's strength was close to a 100 million beri pirate at this point already, which speaks for itself. After the events of Enies Lobby, Sanji got his very first bounty, which amounted to 77 million berries. When compared to the first bounty that the likes of Luffy and Zoro received, this bounty was incredibly massive. Luffy's first bounty was 30 million berries and Zoro's first bounty was 60 million berries. For Sanji, the first reward was 77 million berries, which just goes to show how incredible a threat he was to the World Government.

As the story progressed, his bounty kept getting higher. The Straw Hat Pirates did not receive big bounty increases as they split apart shortly after the events of Enies Lobby. When they regrouped and headed to Fishman Island, only Luffy was revealed to have received a bounty increase as his reward went from 300 to 400 million after the Paramount War. It was only after the events of Dressrosa that the Straw Hat Pirates received an increase all across the board and Sanji's bounty went from 77 million to 177 million berries, despite him not being active in the fight at Dressrosa.

Sanji then took part in the fight against the Big Mom Pirates and as Luffy dealt a crushing blow to Big Mom, Sanji had his bounty increased as well. Luffy became the 5th Emperor of the Sea and his reward went from 500 million at the time to 1.5 billion berries. This was a massive jump and reward for him and other powerful characters, such as Capone Gang Bege, also received a fair bounty increase. As for Sanji, he too received a bounty increase and his reward went from 177 million berries and an Only Alive status to 330 million berries, making him the second most wanted man on the pirate crew, directly behind Luffy.

One Piece: Why Kuma Became A Pacifista, Explained

Here's how Kuma became a Pacifista in One Piece.

After the fight in Whole Cake Island, the group headed to Wano and everyone knew that this arc was going to be massive for the group. Luffy would be fighting against Kaido while the Straw Hat Pirates would take on his group. That is exactly what ended up happening and Sanji ended up trading blows with Queen. Despite being far from 100%, Sanji was easily able to defeat Queen, especially after his latent Germa powers awakened. With his newfound strength, he made quick work of Queen as if he was not even a threat to him.

His incredible victory and the many saves that he made during the Wano arc, in general, such as taking on two Commanders at the same time and saving the Shogun of the country, amounted to him receiving a bounty of 1.032 billion berries. This is an incredibly high figure that classifies Sanji as one of the strongest Yonko Officers, however, he still has ways to go and can get much higher rewards as the story progresses. Despite Sanji's reward being 1.032 billion berries, fans should keep in mind that he is capable of much more.

For instance, Sanji fought and defeated a pirate worth 1.320 billion berries and, logically, he should be more notorious than him, however, given that the Straw Hat Pirates are a newly appointed group, this reward will slowly get up with time. The same applies to the likes of Luffy and even Zoro, who both have defeated pirates with much higher bounties. With time, they will surely receive bigger rewards as well.

Sanji's Next Bounty In One Piece

Sanji power one piece

One Pieceis in the Final Saga now and this only means that Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates are going to be directly fighting against the World Government in many ways. This also means that the crew will have many chances to gain higher notoriety and that is certainly something very special. For instance, things have already heated up incredibly on Egghead Island, where a war against the Navy is currently taking place. A fleet of 100 ships is surrounding Egghead Island and, 30,000 Marines, which are led by Admiral Kizaru, along with nine Vice Admirals and even one of the Five Elders, Saint Saturn, are currently on the island.

The Straw Hat Pirates Have to face this massive force in order to move forward and it is incredibly hard for this crew to make it out of the situation alive as victors and not receive a massive bounty. Whatever the Egghead Incident entails, it cannot see Luffy and the crew falling so early after becoming Yonko. As such, the Straw Hat Crew should make it out in one way or another and when that happens, they will deserve newer bounties, especially after Luffy took down Admiral Kizaru and, at the same time, if Luffy ends up fighting against Saturn, that adds a whole new level of notoriety to this pirate crew.

Sanji himself has taken part in combat in this arc and fought against the Seraphim S-Shark. Since then, he hasn't fought much and engaged briefly in battle against Saturn. While Sanji wasn't able to do much against him, the war is still going on. He will have plenty of opportunities to showcase his skill and, if the crew is going all out, so will Sanji. Perhaps, Sanji will continue fighting against Kizaru when he wakes up, and if the crew successfully manages to escape from this with their heads intact and the Navy faces utter defeat, then Sanji is sure to receive a higher reward. As to how high this reward is going to be, it largely depends on how high Luffy's bounty is going to go.

Given that Luffy has not fought Shanks yet, his bounty should rise by around a billion berries and be put close to 4 billion after the events of Egghead, which would put him close to Shanks but not over him. If Luffy gets a billion beri increase, Sanji could get a bounty increase that could take him close to 1.5 billion berries. This would be an incredibly significant bounty increase for Sanji and make him one of the strongest pirates alive in the One Piece world.
