Sabo, in particular, is an extremely intriguing character at the moment, given that his popularity has skyrocketed recently. At the same time, this will most definitely also lead to his bounty increasing and fans should definitely expect his reward to grow significantly in the final saga.

Sabo's Current Bounty

How Strong Is Sabo One Piece - Featured

Sabo was reintroduced in the story during the Dressrosa arc. At that point, fans did not know much about how much his bounty was. However, speculation was certainly flying around. It wasn't until much later that his bounty was finally revealed to the readers. According to the reveal, Sabo's bounty was 602 million berries, which was surprising for quite a lot of the fans. This is especially because Sabo is the right hand of Dragon and, as the Chief of Staff, he has the second highest authority in the entire Revolutionary Army. If Sabo had a bounty that was barely over 500 million berries, then it wouldn't paint the perfect picture of how powerful Dragon was. Bounties certainly are not a proper indication of strength, however, to a great degree, they do show how ferocious and powerful a person is, regardless of how much infamy they have.

As such, Sabo having a bounty of 602 million berries never sat right with the fans. Every single reader of One Piece knew that Sabo would get a much higher reward later on in the story and it appears that the time for that to happen is now. Sabo has grown significantly in terms of both power and authority ever since the events of Dressrosa, and that only means that his character is going to grow more notorious as well. More notoriety means that his bounty will grow tremendously, especially after the recent events of the Reverie.

Sabo At The Reverie

Sabo was central to the events of the Reverie recently. It was through his character that Oda told the entire story of the Reverie moments after he arrived back on Momoiro Island. Sabo, along with three of the five Commanders of the Revolutionary Army, infiltrated the holy land of the Celestial Dragons and there, they committed acts which the government considered treason. They destroyed the Hoof of the Celestial Dragon, which is considered to be a showing of their power. At the same time, they also freed all the slaves that were present there.

This infuriated those in power, given that they make a sport out of slavery. They also freed Bartholomew Kuma, one of the former commanders of the Revolutionary Army who was being used as a slave by the World Government. They met all their objectives here, however, Sabo went above and beyond and witnessed something that he certainly did not expect even in his wildest dreams.

King Cobra of Arabasta was assassinated right before his eyes and Sabo immediately jumped to his rescue. To his shock, he was met with a scene which he described to be straight out of hell. Sabo saw the Five Elders transform into monstrous figures using their Devil Fruit powers. That certainly wasn't the biggest shock, though. The biggest surprise for him was the existence of Imu, the sovereign of the world who sits atop the Empty Throne. Sabo was unsuccessful in saving Cobra, however, he did successfully manage to escape despite having seen Imu and the Gorosei.

Sabo's Infamy

Sabo one piece chapter 1082-1

Undoubtedly, Sabo grew tremendously in terms of infamy after this incident. For starters, Cobra's assassination was pinned on him. This made him a hero to the masses. At the same time, the World Government would not tolerate the fact that Sabo not only witnessed the existence of Imu, but also tried to attack them. Not just that, but he also successfully managed to escape from the Holy Land of Marijoa, and that in itself is proof that Sabo is going to have a lot of attention being drawn to him. In the outside world, Sabo is now hailed as the Flame Emperor and he is a hero to the masses. He has single-handedly caused several countries to rebel against their tyrannical regime and oppose the World Government.

In fact, Sabo being the brother of the new Emperor of the Sea, Luffy, is also public. What's more, it is now believed that Sabo's infamy has far surpassed that of even Dragon, the leader of the Revolutionary Army. For someone to have more information than Dragon would must mean that their bounty is incredibly high. Fans can rest assured that Sabo will not have the same bounty anymore and the next time his bounty card is revealed, it is going to be a reward much higher than 602 million berries, likely in the billions.

When thinking of how high the bounty for a particular character should be, fans need to take three things into consideration. The first is the strength of this particular character, the second is the level of threat they pose to the World Government, and lastly, how the world of One Piece perceives them. When it comes to strength, Sabo is most certainly among the strongest in the One Piece world. He was trained directly by the Commanders of the Revolutionary Army, including Dragon himself. He excels in the usage of Haki, and one of his biggest strengths is his fighting style, called Ryusoken. If that wasn't enough, Sabo has recently eaten a Logia type of Devil Fruit, called the Mera Mera no Mi.

This Devil Fruit has increased his power drastically and fans have seen that come into effect on several occasions already. Sabo is a force to be reckoned with when it comes to power and based on that alone, he deserves a bounty higher than a billion berries. When taking into consideration the threat he poses to the World Government, Sabo's death is of the utmost priority for them. This is down to the fact that Sabo knows of the identity of Imu. To the World Government, he is a massive threat at the moment as he holds their darkest secrets with him.

In terms of how the world perceives him, Sabo is a hero and someone who is even more popular than Dragon himself. Taking all this into consideration, there is absolutely no doubt that Sabo's bounty should be among the highest in the entire series. It wouldn't be a surprise if it is in the same league as that of the Four Emperors of the Sea. By all means, Sabo should have a bounty of over 2 billion berries at the very least. It wouldn't even be a surprise if his bounty crossed the 3 billion berries mark. Any figure around the bounty that Luffy possesses should be ideal for him so, if one had to guess, a bounty of around 2.5 - 3 billion berries would be perfect for him.
