Poneglyphs are blocks of stones that hold incredible importance in the world of One Piece. Introduced to the fans during the Alabasta arc, these stones carry important information that holds significance to the history of the One Piece world. There is a total of three types of Poneglyphs. The most important ones are the Historical Poneglyphs and there are a total of 17 of those in the world. These Poneglyphs reveal bits of the history of the world which was carved into the stones by those of the Kozuki. The second type of Poneglyphs is known as Instructional Poneglyphs. These usually tell the location of other Poneglyphs that contain bits of history.

The Poneglyphs like the one in Skypiea that told the location of the Ancient Weapon Poseidon is also considered to be an instructional Poneglyph. The third and quite possibly one of the most important types of Poneglyphs is the Road Poneglyphs. These Poneglyphs were recently introduced in the story during the Zou arc by the Mink Tribe. The Road Poneglyphs include a set of four stones that are red, unlike any other Poneglyphs. They are key to locating the One Piece and the Final Island in the Grand Line, known as Laugh Tale. Only by finding all four of the Road Poneglyphs can the location of Laugh Tale be pinpointed.

The Location Of All The Road Poneglyphs

One Piece Zou

The very first Road Poneglyph to be introduced in the series was the one that is safeguarded by the Mink Tribe within the Whale Forest. Inside the giant Whale Tree lies a Road Poneglyph and after the Straw Hat Pirates earned the trust of the tribe, they were allowed to have a look at it. Nico Robin immediately decoded the Poneglyph and while she was doing it, Inuarashi and Nekomamushi revealed the location of two more Road Poneglyphs. According to them, one of the four Road Poneglyphs was in the grasp of Yonko Big Mom, and another one lay in possession of Yonko Kaido. Immediately after, the Straw Hat Pirates split up and while one group went to Wano, the other went to Whole Cake Island.

During the Whole Cake Island arc, Brook managed to get his hands on the Road Poneglyph that was safeguarded by the Big Mom Pirates within the Whole Cake Chateau. By making clever use of his abilities, Brook was able to get a rubbing of Big Mom's Road Poneglyph successfully. At the same time, he also took two more historical Poneglyphs rubbings from her treasure repository room. The location of the second road Poneglyph that was supposedly in Kaido's possession is still unknown. Kaido has already been defeated yet the Poneglyph is nowhere to be seen. It was certainly not in Onigashima, which was evident from the fact that Law scoured it completely.

After the conclusion of the war, Nico Robin found a regular Poneglyph in the base meant of Orochi's Castle. Yet, the Road Poneglyph was nowhere to be found. Fans do, however, know that Kaido was in possession of one and it should be within the grasp of the Straw Hat Pirates by the end of the arc. This leaves Luffy just one Poneglyph short of finding his way to the Final Island, Laugh Tale. What's interesting is, though, that the location of the last Road Poneglyph is not known at the moment.

The Location Of The Last Road Poneglyph

Roger Pirates at Fish-Man Island

During One Piece's Wano Country arc, fans were able to catch a glimpse of Gol D. Roger circumnavigating the entire globe. On his journey, he came across all four Road Poneglyphs, which does give an idea of where Luffy could start looking for the last one. Roger stole a rubbing of Big Mom's Poneglyph, just like Luffy, and the Poneglyph in Wano was given to him by Oden. At the same time, the Minks were willing to let him see their Road Poneglyph and the last remaining one was found at Fishman Island in the Sea Forest next to the one with Joy Boy's apology on it. At some point, however, this Poneglyph was moved from the Sea Forest and has been kept at an unknown place since then.

The people who would know of its location would be the likes of the Roger Pirates, such as Shanks and Buggy, or the members of the Whitebeard Pirates, such as Marco, since they were good friends with King Neptune, or King Neptune himself. With Luffy now being just one step away from his goal, the last Road Poneglyph will certainly be a big plot point moving forward.

In Road to Laugh Tale's first volume, the location of the last Poneglyph was also teased by the editors. The booklet mentioned Elbaf as one of the potential locations of the last block of stone. This would make sense, given that the Straw Hat Pirates are bound to visit the land at one point or another. It is also quite a prevalent idea that the Straw Hat Pirates will head straight to Elbaf after Wano Country. In that case, the last Road Poneglyph can possibly be acquired there and, in doing so, give Luffy access to the Final Island, that is, Laugh Tale. Another possibility is for the last Road Poneglyph to be at Fullalead Island, which is currently being ruled over by Blackbeard. This would mean that the Yonko is currently in possession of one of these stones already and would set up a confrontation between him and Luffy, which is something that fans already know will happen at the end of the series. Either way, fans are certainly going to find out more about the last Road Poneglyph as soon as One Piece returns from its one-month hiatus.
