The Admirals are considered the "Greatest Military Powers" of the World Government. They are second only to the Fleet Admiral in terms of authority. This means that the Admirals are free to do anything they like, even if it tarnishes the reputation of the organization. They are feared throughout the world because they have some of the most powerful abilities in One Piece.
Kizaru is one of the three Admirals who are currently in the service of the World Government. He is over 50 years old, but he is easily among the strongest characters in One Piece. Kizaru was introduced in the Sabaody Archipelago arc, where he single-handedly took down multiple members of the Worst Generation. Kizaru has multiple skills in his locker that he can rely on in terms of need, but which one is the strongest?
Who Is Kizaru?
Kizaru has served the Marines faithfully for many years. He is a veteran fighter who is usually sent to handle the most delicate affairs. Kizaru's lack of motivation gives many people the false impression that he is not a threat. However, he can instantly change his mood and catch his foes off guard.
Kizaru has been involved in a handful of arcs where he has played the role of the antagonist. He is a part of the Egghead arc, which will be his biggest challenge to date.
5 Light Speed
Kizaru is one of the fastest characters in One Piece, and that is down to his Devil Fruit. He can turn his body into light, which allows him to move at ridiculously high speeds. For a normal person, it is almost impossible to react to Kizaru's movements. By the time they realize what has happened, it is already too late.
Even if a person is able to figure out Kizaru's next attack using Kenbunshoku Haki, they need to have the necessary reflexes to be able to dodge it. Rayleigh showed that it is possible to stop Kizaru halfway before he reaches his destination.
4 Physical Abilities
Like all the other Admirals, Kizaru is not entirely reliant on his Devil Fruit powers. He was able to go toe-to-toe with Rayleigh, who used to be the Pirate King's right-hand man. While Rayleigh was no longer in his prime, it was still commendable for the Admiral to be able to hold his ground against the Dark King.
In the Summit War, Kizaru was kicked by Marco, yet he suffered no serious injuries. Kizaru also briefly clashed with Whitebeard and managed to come out scathed from the battle. Due to his limited screen time, it is difficult to gauge his natural reflexes and speed. However, it is plausible to assume that he is a cut above the rest of the characters.
3 Kenbunshoku Haki
Kenbunshoku Haki can be learned by an individual via training, so it is not surprising that an Admiral is able to use it. Kizaru has already shown his proficiency at using Busoshoku Haki, which he used to dispel Whitebeatd's shockwave.
When it comes to Kenbunshoku Haki, Kizaru has yet to display his mastery over it. But many fans strongly believe that he has access to Future Sight. Kenbunshoku Haki requires an individual to be calm at all times, and there is no denying that Kizaru has always been a laid-back individual. He has the calmness required to be able to use Future Sight.
2 Advanced Busoshoku Haki
As one of the oldest and most experienced fighters in the Marines, Kizaru has a great hold over Haki. He can use Busoshoku Haki to defend himself and attack other Devil Fruit users. During the Marineford arc, Kizaru and the other two Admirals used their Advanced Busoshoku Haki to disperse Whitebeard's attacks.
Kizaru was hit a few times in Marineford, but he did not suffer from any serious injuries. It is fair to say that Kizaru is able to use Advanced Busoshoku Haki without any problems. Given the fact that he is going to be involved in a serious altercation in the Egghead arc, fans might get an opportunity to see his refined control over Busoshoku Haki.
1 Pika Pika no Mi
The Pika Pika no Mi is a Logia-type Devil Fruit that was eaten by Kizaru at some point in his life. The Devil Fruit gives him complete dominion over light. He can create and manipulate it at will. The Pika Pika no Mi is so incredible that Dr. Vegapunk chose to extensively research its power. The scientist was able to use the Pika Pika no Mi to create lasers for the Pacifista and Seraphim.
Kizaru has excellent control over his Devil Fruit, and he can use it to fight multiple opponents at the same time. A single beam of light is potent enough to cause a huge blast. Kizaru's kicks also have a great deal of power, and they can deal hefty damage to opponents. He can utilize the Devil Fruit's power to temporarily blind his enemies. Once they are stunned, Kizaru can pick them apart at his own pace. He can even solidify light and create weapons out of it, as evidenced by his fight with Silvers Rayleigh. Kizaru mainly uses his Pika Pika no Mi to attack his targets from a distance. As his attacks are light-based, it is nigh impossible to dodge them. They can easily penetrate through the toughest of shields, giving the Admiral a significant advantage in combat.
