One Piece has showcased plenty of power and strength-packed characters throughout different arcs and one of those super powerful characters is the First Son of the Sea, the fish-man Jinbe. Jinbe has had his fair share of fights and battles throughout his time as a Sun pirates member and as one of the former warlords of the sea. The Knight of the Sea fish-man Jinbe has played a crucial part in various One Piece arcs be it the Marineford arc or the Levely arc.

Jinbe has also helped the Straw Hat pirates on numerous occasions until ultimately joining them as helmsman during the Levely arc. Jinbe is not an ordinary fish-man, he has sailed with the Fisher Tiger as a part of the latter pirate crew, the Sun pirates along with Arlong and others. Jinbe has come a long way after having fought against the World Government on multiple occasions. He has been a great help to Luffy since the Marineford arc, and he is only going to make the Straw Hat pirates even more of a formidable pirate crew, and he will do anything to make Luffy the King of the Pirates.

How Strong Is Jinbe?

Jinbe

Becoming one of the seven warlords, and waging a war against the World Government is not the recipe for the weak. All of Jinbe's accolades only add to his reputation as a strong warrior and a force to reckon with. He has mastered the art of fish-man karate to perfection, there are a lot of lethal moves in his arsenal. He is quite an advanced user of the armament haki and observation haki. He also uses a unique fighting technique called Kairagi where he hardens his arms and uses them for defense. On top of his strength, he is a fish-man of the great and big build as he is a blue whale shark fish-man. His build resembles a sumo wrestler and his face is often associated with various demons such as Oni. His physical appearance works as icing over the cake sending shivers down the spine of his enemies.

Jinbe's strength is reflected in the very fact that he does not fear anyone which is evident as he stood before Big Mom with no fear in his soul and mind. He even went to the extent that he broke the alliance with Big Mom by stating that he does not fear her as he is going to become part of the future King of the Pirates' crew, and he can't be scared by a mere Yonko (emperor of the sea). This was a statement of Jinbe's courage and honor. He stayed back at the Totto Land to save the Sun Pirates from Big Mom and her commanders and also to help the Straw Hat pirates escape. He casually asked Sanji, Nami, Cat, Brook, and Chopper to escape Big Mom and that he will halt her and meet them in the Wano country as if it was a piece of cake to do so. This only furthers the tale of the Son of the Sea, Jinbe's strength.

Jinbe's End Goal

Jinbe

Jinbe is an avid admirer of Fisher Tiger's ideals and his dying wish that Jinbe wants to actualize his former captain's dream of peaceful coexistence and equality between humans and fish-men. Jinbe wants to make this dream come true and to make it a reality but for that, he has to go against the will of the celestial dragons who consider fish-man nothing but slaves. And going against the celestial dragons means inviting the wrath of the World Government and the marines. Luffy has a similar kind of ambition as he wants to become the King of the Pirates but over his journey to achieve this goal, he realized the harsh realities of the world like slavery and domination of the rich over the poor. He hates the celestial dragons and their ideology of considering everyone as lesser to them. Hence, he also wants to ensure peace, harmony, and equality among different communities and kingdoms in the world. Luffy will have to take on the World Government and the marines to attain all of his goals.

It seems like Luffy and Jinbe were always meant to cross paths with each other as it is fate that brought the two together for they are different yet alike. They need each other for the fulfillment of their respective dreams. Jinbe requires Luffy's vision and his ability to make allies with whomsoever he meets as mentioned by Dracule Mihawk during the Marineford arc. Not to forget that Luffy is hinted at to be the reincarnation of Joy Boy and is supposed to liberate all the slaves and reunite the people of the world establishing peace and equality among them. Therefore, Jinbe's end goal aligns with that of Luffy, and he truly believes in Luffy that he will be the one to end the cruelty and dominance of the celestial dragons and dismantle the authoritarian and arbitrary powers of the World Government and the marines. Fans would only get to know what lies ahead for Jinbe in the future as the story of One Piece proceeds further.
