Despite the series nearing its end, there are still many characters who haven't been given the opportunity to show off their skills, and there are others who have been getting stronger with each arc so that they can take on more powerful opponents. With that in mind, here are some of the biggest fights that the fans want to see in the final saga.
7 Zoro vs Mihawk
Ever since Zoro was humiliated in the Baratie arc, he has been looking forward to his fight with the "Strongest Swordsman in the World." Zoro met Mihawk after their duel on Baratie, but instead of fighting the latter, the Straw Hat begged to be trained.
Mihawk was hesitant at first because Zoro was looking to take him down, but Zoro's persistence paid off. In the Wano Country arc, Zoro took down King, but he needed Enma to draw out his Conqueror's Haki. So, by the time he faces Mihawk, Zoro needs to tame Enma and learn more about his Conqueror's Haki.
6 Luffy vs Blackbeard
It wouldn't be a stretch to call it the biggest fight in the entire series. Both of them have big goals and neither is backing down from achieving them. Luffy has already taken down Kaido, and it is clear that he won't stop until he becomes the Pirate King.
Blackbeard's true intentions remain a mystery, but it is fair to assume that he too is interested in the One Piece. The fight between the Yonko will be monumental, and it will go down in the history books without a doubt.
5 Sabo vs Akainu
Akainu is the current Fleet Admiral of the Marines, and he is of the opinion that every criminal in the world must be eradicated. Akainu doesn't care about the casualties as long as his goals are met. His actions during the Marineford arc made him an immensely hated character.
On the other hand, Sabo is among the most popular characters in the series. He is the chief of staff of the Revolutionary Army and his heroics have earned him the epithet of "Flame Emperor." While the confrontation between them has not been teased, it makes sense that Sabo defeats Akainu as it would help him to get rid of his guilt of being unable to help his brothers at Marineford.
4 Sanji vs Kizaru
The Wano Country arc was important for all Straw Hats and particularly for the Monster Trio. Sanji's main opponent in the arc was Queen, who was the third-strongest member of the Beasts Pirates. At one point, it seemed that Queen might be too much for Sanji, however, things completely changed when Sanji awakened his latent powers.
Sanji became physically stronger and faster, and he could tank Queen's attacks without any problems. Kizaru vs Sanji was teased in a One Piece opening, and the fight might happen down the line. But, at the moment, the Admiral would easily defeat Sanji.
3 Luffy vs Shanks
There is a lot of history between Luffy and Shanks. It was only because of Shanks that Luffy decided to set sail and become a pirate. Shanks trusted Luffy and even sacrificed his arm to save the young boy. Before leaving Foosha Village, Shanks gave Luffy his Straw Hat.
Shanks and Luffy have not met each other since, but it might not be long before they face each other. Luffy is a great pirate now, and he is very close to the legendary treasure, One Piece. Not only will this fight be epic in terms of action, but it will also be extremely emotional as Luffy considers Shanks a role model.
2 The Revolutionary Army vs The World Government
The Revolutionary Army is arguably the biggest thorn in the side of the World Government. Ever since Dragon founded the Revolutionary Army, they have helped to free countless nations. The World Government do not like the steps taken by the Revolutionary Army, so they are trying everything in their power to get rid of them.
The Revolutionary Army already took a big step by infiltrating Mary Geoise and taking Bartholomew Kuma back with them. So, it is only just a matter of time before the two organizations clash against each other. The clash between the two could very well change the entire world.
1 Red Hair Pirates vs Blackbeard Pirates
The Red Pirates and the Blackbeard Pirates are both very powerful pirate crews. Each of them is led by a Yonko. The two crews came face-to-face during the Marineford arc, but Blackbeard turned tail after Shanks openly claimed that his crew was ready to fight anyone.
Shanks and Blackbeard bear animosity towards one another, as the latter was responsible for giving Shanks the scars under his eyes. The clash between the two giants might take place in the final saga as Shanks has decided to claim the One Piece, and Blackbeard might try to stop him. The fight between the two crews will definitely be iconic, and it is something that the fans certainly want to see.
