Luffy's dream is to find the One Piece and become the King of the Pirates. He had set out alone, but soon he realized that he needed a crew. Over time, Luffy recruited new members, and they eventually became the Straw Hat Pirates. All the members adore each other, which is a key reason behind their strength. Presently, there are ten members in the crew, but there is a good chance that the Straw Hats will at least add one more person to their ranks.

7 O-Tama

Unmatched Courage For A Child Of Her Age

O-Tama creates a dango

O-Tama was one of the most important characters in the Wano Country arc. She fed Luffy and took care of him. Later in the arc, she used her Devil Fruit power to turn the tide of battle in favor of the alliance.

The level of maturity that she displayed at her age was nothing short of spectacular. Many people often tend to overlook the fact that a child risked her life to change the future of Wano. While she may not be the favorite to join the Straw Hat Pirates, O-Tama cannot be ruled out entirely.

6 Yamato

Helped The Straw Hats Beat Kaido

Yamato from One Piece

Yamato is the daughter of Kaido. She was imprisoned by her father because she idolized Kozuki Oden. Yamato was not afraid of confronting Kaido, and she even fought him during the Onigashima raid.

Her behavior and parallels with Oden led fans to believe that she would join the Straw Hat Pirates as the eleventh member. Surprisingly, she decided to stay back in Wano. This came as a shock to the entire fandom, as everything pointed to Yamato becoming a Straw Hat. Despite her decision, it would be unwise to rule out the possibility of her changing her mind.

5 Boa Hancock

Wants To Be With Luffy

Boa Hancock is the current captain of the Kuja Pirates. She used to be a Shichibukai but, like others, lost her position after the group was dissolved. Hancock is an elite fighter, arguably one of the best in One Piece. She has the Mero Mero no Mi's power at her disposal, which allows her to petrify a person.

While it would be unnatural for Hancock to leave her crew, she is head over heels in love with Luffy and can do anything for him. She has expressed her desire to be with Luffy, and what better way to do that than by joining his crew?

The biggest names in One Piece are fighting in the Egghead War. But who is the strongest among them?

Before she had even set foot on the island, Bonney bumped into the Straw Hat Pirates. The more time she spent with the crew, the more she felt like a natural fit. She has a serious side and a goofy side, which is in line with the personalities of most of the Straw Hats. At the moment, she is still fighting with the crew to escape from Egghead, but once the war is over, she might stick with them till the very end.

3 Bon Clay

Selfless Individual Who Has Saved Luffy

Bon Clay and Luffy

Initially, Bon Clay was introduced as a villain, but he ultimately became a valuable ally to the Straw Hat Pirates. He saved them from being captured by Hina, which resulted in him being sent to Impel Down. Luffy met Bon Clay again when he infiltrated Impel Down to save Ace.

Luffy got in trouble in prison, and Bon Clay came to his aid not once but twice. First, he saved Luffy from dying in Impel Down, then he stayed back to help him leave the prison without any problems. Considering his sacrifices for Luffy, there is no doubt that he would be a great addition to the crew.

2 Carrot

Helped The Crew Numerous Times

Carrot One Piece

Carrot became the new ruler of the Mokomo Dukedom after the Wano Country arc. She was selected by Nekomamushi and Inuarashi to lead the country into a new era. Before that, Carrot traveled with the Straw Hats to Whole Cake Island, where she helped them rescue Sanji from Big Mom and Vinsmoke Judge.

She was also involved in the Wano Country arc, but her influence was limited. While Carrot may not be currently in contention to join the Straw Hat Pirates, chances are that she may ally with them in the future.

1 Nefertari Vivi

Honorary Straw Hat

Vivi in One Piece

Nefertari Vivi is the heir to the throne of Alabasta. Unlike most people who have ties to royalty, Vivi is not afraid to put herself in danger for the sake of her people. This was evident from her involvement in the Alabasta arc, where she traveled with the Straw Hats to rescue her country from Crocodile.

Once the arc was complete, many fans expected Vivi to continue traveling with the Straw Hat Pirates. However, she decided to stay back and help her father heal the nation. She is considered an honorary Straw Hat, and there is a good chance that she will rejoin the crew at some point in the future.
