One Piece was on a 2-week break and the wait is finally over, which means that spoilers and leaks for One Piece chapter 1099 are finally on the horizon. After an incredibly painful chapter that dropped last week, fans are hoping that the next chapter of the story will offer somewhat of a relief to them.
However, given that this is likely going to be the most tragic flashback in the entire story, it is very likely that it is going to continue in a similar fashion. After the discovery of the Sapphire Scale Disease, it is highly likely that One Piece chapter 1099 will focus on Kuma and his daughter, Bonney, finding a cure for the disease.
Kuma And Bonney's Adventure
One Piece chapter 1099 is most definitely going to focus on Kuma and Bonney's journey in order to find a cure for the Sapphire Scale disease. Kuma was made aware of the fact that Bonney only has 5 years to live. This means that the flashback will likely see these two characters embark on a journey together in order to find a cure. Given that Bonney has 5 years left to live, fans might see a short timeskip of a few months in which the two will likely journey together towards various places in the One Piece world. Kuma was made aware of the fact that this disease is incurable, however, that certainly does not mean that he will give up. Fans already know that Kuma is hell-bent on saving Bonney and he will do absolutely everything he can't to honor the memory of Ginny by trying to rescue her child from this deadly disease.
This means Kuma will go from place to place in search of a cure and this will eventually lead him to none other than Dr. Vegapunk. Vegapunk might be able to give some answers to Kuma about this disease and how to curb it, however, it is highly likely that the cure itself might be related to the Devil Fruit that Bonney consumes.
Kuma To Meet Vegapunk?
As mentioned earlier, Kuma and Vegapunk might end up meeting in One Piece chapter 1099. Of course, this is a prediction at this point, however, it is one that will very likely end up coming true. One Piece chapter 1099 will most likely see Kuma head towards Egghead Island. This is an event that fans know will absolutely happen in this story arc as Bonney previously mentioned that she has memories of coming to this place when she was a child. Currently, Bonney is 5 years old, which means that it would be the perfect time for her to come to egghead with Kuma. This would also explain why Kuma was seen in a lab with Vegapunk and why they were running some experiments. Perhaps, Vegapunk, in order to find a cure for the Sapphire Scale, would need a body to experiment upon. That is where Kuma would come in as he would then give up his body for the very cause of creating a cure for the Sapphire Scale disease.
One Piece: Was Whitebeard A Buccaneer?
The Buccaneer race was recently revealed in One Piece. Does Whitebeard belong to this race?
Fans know that Bonney ends up eating the Toshi Toshi no Mi and this could be related to Vegapunk and his lab. Of course, there could be more to it than just that. There are also ideas that state that just like the Ope Ope no Mi cured Law's White Lead Disease, the Toshi Toshi no Mi could end up curing Bonney's Sapphire Scale disease. The question would then remain as to why Kuma would give himself up to the Government. It is also possible that the disease could be cured by someone who caused it. Fans know both Ginny and Bonney ended up receiving this disease from one of the Celestial Dragons and, if someone were to have been behind this, then, perhaps, by giving himself into slavery, Kuma could very well secure a deal to free Bonney of its clutches.
Sapphire Scale And Saturn
One character that fans know could very well cause the Sapphire Scale Disease is none other than Saint Saturn. This is highly likely, given that the stone sapphire is linked to the planet Saturn and, at the same time, the ability that Saturn possesses is one that allows him to spread diseases as well. This means Saturn could very well have cursed Ginny with the Sapphire Scale Disease, along with Bonney as well.
Fans already know that Saturn wants Kuma in slavery for eternity for being born as a member of the Buccaneer race.
This means that Bonney is, in a way, means for Saturn to pull Kuma back into slavery. It is possible that One Piece chapter 1099 will see Kuma give himself into slavery in order to secure a cure for Bonney. By giving himself into the Government, Bonney could essentially be cured of the Sapphire Scale disease.
The Cure For The Sapphire Scale
After the Sapphire Scale Disease is cured, fans could see One Piece chapter 1099 tie into the Pacifista Project. Fans know that the World Government wanted to work on the Pacifistas a long time ago. Vegapunk is the one who was leading this project and Kuma gave himself up readily to make it possible. The Pacifista Project could very well be shown in One Piece chapter 1099 after Kuma games himself up to the Government. It is unknown as to what happens to Bonney following Kuma giving himself in to Vegapunk, however, fans will likely find out once the chapter comes out.
At the same time, it must also be remembered that many secrets will be revealed to them following the beginning of the Pacifista Project. For instance, when Kuma was turned into a cyborg, he had some programs written into him that allowed him to protect the Straw Hat Pirates and the Sunny. He could likely have other programs written into him that allow him to save his own daughter and, perhaps, fans will likely find the answer as to why Kuma protected the Sunny, why he rescued the Straw Hat Pirates, and why he sent them where he sent them after he split up the crew. These are questions that could very possibly be answered in One Piece chapter 1099 and, for those reasons, fans should be incredibly excited.
Since One Piece recently returned from break, the series is not going to go on break anytime soon and It is likely that Oda will publish three chapters before taking a break again. One Piece is likely going to conclude this flashback in the next two or three chapters, and, following that, the story will enter the climax of the Egghead Island arc, which will see the major fights ensue. These are exciting times for One Piece fans and, starting with One Piece chapter 1099, the series will most definitely pick up in intensity. For now, the flashback needs to continue and fans need major answers related to Kuma, Bonney's disease, and the pacifista project and they will likely be answered in the upcoming chapters.
