Fans already know that Luffy is in the race for the One Piece as well and Blackbeard appears to be aggressively seeking out the treasure as well. His hunt for the tools required to reach the Final Island has led him to Egghead Island, where fans know his crew will create some havoc.

The Egghead Incident

The Final Saga of One Piece began immediately after the Wano Country arc wrapped up. With the Wano arc having wrapped up, fans knew that One Piece would enter its final stretch, as Oda had already confirmed that once this arc finishes, the ending of One Piece would then appear in sight. That is exactly what is currently happening in the Egghead Island arc, which is the very first arc of the Final Saga. Oda is doing a great job at setting up some of the most important events in the story here. The Egghead Island arc has given fans some of the most amazing fights, such as Trafalgar Law clashing against Blackbeard himself, and even Kid clashing against Shanks.

Furthermore, Garp, a hero of the Navy, was seen engaging in a fight with the Blackbeard Pirates, and, at the same time, many other players are heavily involved in major events, which just goes to show that the current age of piracy is incredibly turbulent. While all that is great, the biggest incident that is currently going on in the Final Saga of One Piece is none other than the Egghead Incident. The Egghead Incident is taking place on Egghead Island itself, where Luffy, the newly elected Emperor of the Sea, is currently present, along with Dr. Vegapunk, who is a traitor to the World Government.

The Egghead Incident refers to something that happened after the Navy launched a massive assault on the island with their 100 ships, consisting of 30,000 marine soldiers, which includes nine Vice Admirals, along with one Admiral, and a member of the Five Elders. In the midst of this all, fans also know that Blackbeard Pirates are there to claim a piece of the prize as well.

The Many Goals Of The Blackbeard Pirates

Blackbeard

The Blackbeard Pirates were always going to be incredibly relevant in the Final Saga of One Piece. This is simply down to the fact that they want to claim the One Piece for themselves and make Blackbeard the King of the Pirates. To reach the One Piece, one needs 4 Road Poneglyphs and this is something that Blackbeard had to have been working towards. In the Final Saga, it was clear for the fans to see that he was taking great steps to attain the Poneglyphs and claim the One Piece for himself. As soon as the Final saga began, Blackbeard intercepted Law with the hopes of stealing his Poneglyph.

One Piece: Oda Sets Up Sanji's Biggest Fight On Egghead Island

Sanji will fight his most powerful opponent yet in One Piece's egghead arc.

He successfully managed to defeat him and took all his rubbings. Law had two rubbings, which were the one that he obtained from Kaido, and, of course, the one that he saw in Zou. Both of these belong to Blackbeard now. Furthermore, fans also know that Blackbeard sent a unit of his pirate crew to Whole Cake Island. This unit consisted of Kuzan and Van Auger. It is highly likely that they obtained a rubbing of Big Mom's Poneglyph as well, and this means Blackbeard would currently have three of the four Road Poneglyphs. And, perhaps, now is the time for him to make a move for the last rubbing.

The Egghead Unit Of The Blackbeard Pirates

Catarina Devon in One Piece

In the Final saga of One Piece, the Blackbeard Pirates appear to have split up. A unit of the Blackbeard Pirate Crew was seen waiting for Trafalgar Law so that they could take him down in combat. This unit consisted of Blackbeard himself, Doc Q, Stronger, Jesus Burgess, and, of course, Van Augur. Meanwhile, on the Pirate Island, there were powerful Individuals, such as Shiryu, Avalo Pizarro, Vasco Shot, Sanjuan Wolf, and Kuzan. This means that out of all members of the Blackbeard Pirates crew, only a few, such as Lafitte and Catarina Devon are currently missing. Fans also know that a group of the Blackbeard Pirates are currently headed towards Egghead Island.

Quite a while ago, a ship of the Blackbeard Pirates was seen approaching Egghead Island and it is quite clear that this ship will most likely reach the island very soon or, even worse, they have already managed to infiltrate the island, unbeknownst to the Straw Hat Pirates. If this were to be the case, then they have a major goal at the island that they want to meet. Given that Blackbeard only takes calculated risks, the goal that he wants his crew to accomplish has to be absolutely massive.

Why Are The Blackbeard Pirates On Egghead?

Blackbeard from one piece

The only reason why the Blackbeard Pirates are on Egghead is to likely obtain something valuable. This could be something such as the likes of the Seraphims, which are a massive source of power, or even a body of Dr. Vegapunk himself, out of which they could get a ton of information pertaining to the man who has the last Poneglyph or, even more importantly, the information on how to read Poneglyphs themselves. Fans know that Vegapunk himself was researching the Poneglyphs on Egghead Island. This means that he has the knowledge required to read these ancient scripts. Every single satellite of Dr. Vegapunk should have this knowledge and that only means that even if one of them is kidnapped by Blackbeard, then he would have access to someone who can help him read the Poneglyphs.

Fans already know that York is an individual who wouldn't think twice before betraying Stella. Perhaps, the goal here is to get one of the satellites of Dr. Vegapunk and then have them deciphered a Poneglyphs and use that information to go and reach the One Piece.

One Piece is available to read via Viz Media. The series can be read by the fans officially and for free on the Shonen Jump and the Manga Plus app. The release date for the next chapter of One Piece, One Piece 1105, is set to be January 28, 2024.
