Over the span of more than two decades, Eiichiro Oda's One Piece has introduced hundreds of characters, many of which have larger-than-life personalities or possess the power to topple a kingdom or two. These are legendary figures, however, one of the manga and anime's most enduring characters is a navigator with no special abilities besides a nifty weapon and swift hands.
Nami often acts as something of a parental figure to the rest of the Straw Hats. She balances out Luffy's ceaseless drive for adventure, helping to keep things afloat and running as smoothly as possible. Netflix has tried its hand at quite a few live-action anime adaptations, and the company has largely struggled to live up to the source material. The streaming service is currently working on a One Piece show, which might be Netflix's most ambitious anime-themed project to date. If done right, this could spawn a series that lasts decades; if done wrong, it could be a costly mistake.
Emily Rudd of Fear Street fame has been cast as Nami, and the actress seems like a good fit for the role. So far, it looks like this meme might not come to pass, although there is still a long way to go before Netflix's One Piece debuts.
6 The Many Faces Of Nami
Nami really keeps herself busy. Ultimately, there are only so many ways to draw a face, so it is not unusual for manga and anime to have some overlap between characters. Gintama even has a bit about this very thing, showing that Shinpachi and Kagura basically have the same basic face albeit with different hairstyles.

Due to being the weakest members of the Straw Hats, Nami and Usopp have always shared a certain camaraderie with each other. They both try to avoid conflict as much as possible, often coming across as cowards in the process. In reality, they are just aware of their limitations and would rather keep a safe distance from potential hazards.
While they are both noble, these two are also willing to play dirty to survive and get ahead in life, which makes them perfect pirates. Nami and Usopp can always rely on each other.
4 The Running Gag
A female character punching a male character is a cliché in comedy anime, and One Piece has a habit of returning to this well relatively often when it comes to Nami. While the show's willingness to get surprisingly graphic during the aftermath has led to some funny moments, this joke has arguably overstayed its welcome.
That said, the series has not used this punchline all that frequently in the last few years. Still, within the show's universe, it does raise the question of Nami's innate power; if she was constantly annoyed, she might become an unstoppable force.

An unlikely fan crossover, Phineas & Ferb has caught One Piece fever, with its eponymous children embracing the pirate life. Phineas shares a few personality traits with Luffy, mainly that they are generally optimistic, and he also grasps the Straw Hat's love for adventure. Ferb also gets Zoro.
Candace and Nami are not all that similar, besides the fact that they are not often all that excited by the rest of the characters' penchant for silliness. However, Nami is actually quite mature, while Candace usually just plays the part and still has a ways to go before she actually achieves it.

Somehow, in a crew that features a walking skeleton, an anthropomorphic reindeer that can transform into a kaiju, a half-human, half-robot hybrid, and a woman who can create a sea of hands, Nami is still the scariest member. She simply has a dangerous aura, and anyone foolish enough to anger the navigator is likely to end up with a few bumps on their head. It is just the way things are.
Zeus, Big Mom's special homie, ended up falling under Nami's spell, eventually even fusing with her Clima-Tact. While they get along well enough, Nami and Zeus' relationship is rocky due to a history of betrayal, with the former being quick to anger whenever the latter shows any hints of treachery.

This meme captures Nami's role in the Straw Hats perfectly. She is the one that tries to keep the crew out of trouble, and she always considers the consequences rather than simply going with the flow. As Luffy and Zoro celebrate their new higher bounties, Nami contemplates what this could mean for their future travels.
Sure, this meme makes the navigator come across as somewhat of a buzzkill, but her frustration is perfectly understandable. While Usopp and Chopper also tend to worry, they are usually driven by emotion more than Nami, who blends her trepidation with logic.
