Pirate crews are mainly based on friendship, but some crew captains lead their crews in a radical manner. The crew of Kaido is undoubtedly powerful, but there is barely any sense of companionship. So there is very little chance of a weak person surviving. When it comes to survival, here are the best One Piece crews to join when staying alive matters.
11 Kid Pirates
The Kid Pirates are among the most notorious crews to sail the waters of the New World. They are led by their captain, Eustass Kid, who is one of the members of the Worst Generation. It is one of the two crews that have more than one Supernova. In the case of the Kid Pirates, it is Kid and Killer.
The two of them are very powerful characters, which makes the crew extremely strong. Despite their notoriety, the Kid Pirates look out for members of their crew so joining them would ensure a safe voyage.
10 Barto Club
Led by Bartolomeo, the crew was first introduced during the Dressrosa arc. The entire crew adores the Straw Hat Pirates, which makes it the only other viable option to join especially if the person likes the Straw Hats.
The crew has strong members, and it is easy to see why they have made a name for themselves in the New World of One Piece. It would be a very safe option to travel with the crew since they are affiliated with the Straw Hat Grand Fleet.
9 Spade Pirates
The Spade Pirates were led by the Super Rookie, Portgas D. Ace in One Piece. Under Ace, the crew quickly became popular and gained the attention of the World Government. Ace was even offered the position of a Shichibukai, which he declined.
Ace cared a lot about his crew, and it was evident when he told them to run away when Whitebeard finally accepted his challenge. This shows that every member of the crew was considered important, so joining the Spade Pirates would be a good choice.
8 Sun Pirates
The Sun Pirates are also known as Fish-Man Pirates. The crew was formed by Fisher Tiger many years and since then the crew has had two different captains— Jimbei and Aladin. The crew is very tolerant towards humans, which is a big difference between them and the New Fish-Man Pirates. The Sun Pirates have several strong fighters, and it wouldn't be a bad idea to join them.
7 Red Hair Pirates
The Red Hair Pirates are led by Shanks, who is one of the famous Yonko of One Piece. The crew is considered to be among the strongest in the entire world, with many believing it to be the most balanced crew. The Red Hair Pirates are yet to be involved in a major fight, however, their presence was enough to make Sengoku reconsider fighting them.
In addition to the crew's monstrous strength, they also are very harmonious. Shanks is not offended by many things, however, the thing that he cannot stand is someone insulting one of his friends. When Higuma tried to kill Luffy, Shanks risked life and limb to save him. It is quite obvious that Shanks would protect his crew members at any cost, so joining the Red Hair Pirates would be a wise decision.
6 Blackbeard Pirates
The Blackbeard Pirates rose from obscurity to fame in a very short period. Before the Summit War, no one considered them a serious threat, but when Blackbeard somehow stole Whitebeard's overpowered devil fruit, they received a major power boost. The recruits from Impel Down also bolstered their strength.
After the conclusion of the Summit War, the Blackbeard Pirates defeated the Whitebeard Pirates and Blackbeard successfully claimed the position as one of the Yonko. Joining the crew could result in receiving a powerful devil fruit as the Blackbeard Pirates are on the lookout for strong devil fruits. Also, the crew likes to party, which is an added benefit.
5 Straw Hat Pirates
The Straw Hat Pirates are at the center of things in OnePiece. They are led by the infamous Monkey D. Luffy, who is among the few characters whose bounty is over a billion beris. Luffy and co. are currently engaged in a fierce battle against the Beasts Pirates in Onigashima.
The Straw Hat Pirates is undoubtedly the nicest crew in the series. They care a lot about each other and others around them. The entire crew has risked their lives on numerous occasions to save one of their crew members. It does not matter who the person is, the Straw Hats will do everything to protect their crew member from harm.
4 Whitebeard Pirates
Led by the "Strongest Man in the World," Whitebeard, the crew was considered to be a major powerhouse. The Whitebeard Pirates had some extraordinary fighters such as Marco, Jozu, Vista, etc. They were able to fight against the Navy and members of the Shichibukai.
The Whitebeard Pirates also had numerous allies, who aided them during the war against the Navy. The Whitebeard Pirates had one iron rule— not to harm any fellow crew member. A person joining the crew was granted safety and Whitebeard was the kind of person who would fight against the entire world for the sake of his sons.
3 Buggy's Crew
Buggy is a hilarious individual, who can turn any serious situation into a funny one with his shenanigans. Years ago, Buggy used to be an apprentice on Gol D. Roger's ship, and after the latter's death, Buggy started his own crew.
Buggy is a non-serious person who is only obsessed with getting more riches. Buggy and his crew are not strong, and they are known for their celebrations and feasts. Despite the lack of strength, Buggy and his crew have managed to survive in the New World and it is mainly because of their insane luck and Buggy's reputation.
2 Roger Pirates
Roger Pirates were the most infamous pirate crew in the world. Led by Gol D. Roger, the crew managed to reach the final island— Laugh Tale. On their voyage, they also came to know about the true history of the world. They became the most wanted pirate crew in the world and Roger became the Pirate King.
Roger Pirates clashed against many opponents during their adventure. They managed to get the better of Shiki's pirate armada and brought down the Rocks Pirates, which shows just how powerful they were. Buggy managed to survive on Roger's crew, so it gives even a neophyte a chance of surviving if they join the crew.
1 Heart Pirates
The Heart Pirates are captained by Trafalgar Law, who is one of the Worst Generation. Law is a great leader and he has shown that he prizes the lives of his crewmates. Bepo, Sachi, and Penguin adore their captain.
Trafalgar Law's ability to heal people with devil fruit comes in handy and if a person, who joins the crew ends up getting injured then Law could easily save their life.
