OnePiece is among the longest-running anime series out there. The anime has over a thousand episodes, and is still going strong today. With such an astonishing number of episodes, it is no wonder that the series has so many arcs. The arcs are mostly canon, but like every long-running anime, there are filler arcs as well.

Most fans of the show skip the filler arcs, because in comparison to the canon arcs their quality is lacking. The canon arcs in One Piece are pretty long and have a lot of episodes; however, there are some arcs that are actually extremely short and only have a handful of episodes, for viewers who want something a little more self-contained.

10 Levely/Baratie (12 Episodes)

Both of these arcs have twelve episodes each. The Baratie arc takes place after the events of the Syrup Village. The crew's search for a cook takes them to Baratie, which is a floating restaurant. After defeating the Krieg Pirates, Sanji joins the Straw Hats. Another highlight from the arc is the introduction of Dracule Mihawk.

Levely is a relatively short arc in comparison to the rest of the arcs that are set in the New World. After leaving Whole Cake Island, the news of Luffy's exploits spreads throughout the world. This results in a massive increase in his bounty, and he is unofficially declared to be the fifth Emperor. The biggest highlight from the arc is the introduction of Im.

9 Syrup Village (10 Episodes)

The Straw Hats meet Usopp

Syrup Village is one of the many arcs from the East Blue Saga. After Nami decides to sail with Luffy and Zoro, they reach Syrup Village. The three of them start looking for a ship, but instead, they end up meeting Usopp, who is a chronic liar.

When everything seems to be going fine, they soon uncover Kuro's plan to kill Kaya and take away all her riches. This leads to an epic showdown between the Straw Hats, and the Black Cat Pirates.

8 Jaya (9 Episodes)

With Nico Robin joining their ranks, the Straw Hats make their way next to the island. While sailing, a ship falls from the sky, which confuses the crew, and they decide to head towards Jaya for more information.

The crew meets Montblanc Cricket who tells them about the legend of the Sky Island and the Knock Up stream. Luffy and Zoro also meet Blackbeard, but they do not recognize him. The Five Elders and members of the Shichibukai are also revealed.

7 Little Garden (8 Episodes)

The arc focuses on the Straw Hat Pirates as they try to help Vivi to reach Alabasta. The crew is amazed after reaching Little Garden, as the island is home to prehistoric creatures such as dinosaurs.

Here, the crew also meets Dorry and Broggy, two giants who have engaged in a fight for over a century. The Straw Hats also face a challenge from the members of Baroque Works.

6 Loguetown (7 Episodes)

Smoker introduced for the first time

Loguetown was the final town where the Straw Hats stopped before the crew sailed towards the entrance of the Grand Line. The crew faced a big threat in the form of Marine Captain, Smoker, whose aim was to stop the pirates from reaching the Grand Line.

Smoker was the first person who was ever seen using a logia-type devil fruit in the series. The arc also saw Monkey D. Dragon making his first appearance in the show. Furthermore, Zoro got his hands on two new swords — Yubashiri and Sandai Kitetsu. It was a pretty eventful arc despite its short length.

5 Return To Sabaody (6 Episodes)

Return to Sabaody takes place after the events of the Summit War, when Luffy reveals to his crew members that they would be meeting after two years instead of three days. In this arc, the crew is finally reunited after being separated for two years.

Every member of the crew had honed their skills, which made the Straw Hat Pirates stronger than before. The arc has just six episodes, and it sees the Straw Hats getting ready for their journey into the New World.

4 Orange Town (5 Episodes)

This is one of the earliest and shortest arcs in One Piece, and in it, viewers get to know key characters.After Luffy recruits Zoro, the duo arrives at Orange Town. Much to their surprise, they find the town to be abandoned, and after looking around, they find Nami.

Soon they come to know that she is a thief who hates pirates, but despite their differences, the three of them form a team to defeat Buggy.

3 Whisky Peak (4 Episodes)

Straw Hats travel to Little Garden

In this arc, the Straw Hats are taken by Mr. 9 and Ms. Wednesday towards Whisky Peak. The people of the town act really friendly towards them, and even throw a party for their arrival.

However, things go bad quickly as the Straw Hats face many threats. Yet in the face of adversity, they still manage to save themselves and leave the island.

2 Romance Dawn (3 Episodes)

Romance Dawn marks the very beginning of One Piece, and sees Luffy start his journey to become the Pirate King. After his ship gets wrecked, Luffy hides inside a barrel, and he eventually lands up on the same ship as Koby.

Luffy and Koby talk for a while and the latter reveals that he wants to become a Marine. In the same arc, Luffy meets the first member of his crew, Roronoa Zoro.

1 Reverse Mountain (2 Episodes)

Laboon blocks the path of the Straw Hats

The\is arc focuses on the Straw Hats as they climb the Reverse Mountain to reach the Grand Line. The current poses a great threat to the crew's safety, but with no other option left, they decide to ride the current.

As they get ready to go down the Reverse Mountain, they find a giant whale blocking their path. It is the shortest canon arc in the series so far, comprising only two episodes.
