Kaido is one of the former Four Emperors of the Sea in the One Piece world. Believed to be the strongest creature on land, sea, and air, Kaido made his presence known and struck the fear of god into every living being in the world. Much of Kaido's strength is derived from his incredible Mythical Zoan Devil Fruit, called Uo Uo no Mi, Model: Seiryuu.
This Devil Fruit allows Kaido to transform into a giant blue serpentine eastern dragon, capable of manipulating certain elements and, above all, granting him immense toughness. While this Devil Fruit is perfect for Kaido and embodies his character in a brilliant manner, it would have been fun to see Kaido with some other Devil Fruit ability. In case he did not have this power, there are some others that might have suited him very well.
7 Gura Gura no Mi

The Gura Gura no Mi is the strongest Paramecia Devil Fruit to ever exist. In fact, it is among the strongest Devil Fruits in general, being the only one termed as powerful enough to be capable of destroying the entire world. This Devil Fruit once belonged to Whitebeard, and currently, it belongs to Blackbeard.
Given that Kaido is obsessed with strength and was even termed to be the strongest by many, having the strongest Devil Fruit would certainly be a perfect fit for him. With this fruit, he would have gained the power to create quakes and sink islands with ease.
6 Hebi Hebi no Mi, Model: Yamata no Orochi
The Hebi Hebi no Mi, Model: Yamata no Orochi is a Mythical Zoan Devil Fruit eaten by Orochi. This Devil Fruit granted him the ability to transform into an eight-headed serpent, with eight lives. While this fruit looked very weak under Orochi, it is actually a very powerful ability, if it is eaten by the right person.
A fruit is only as good as its user and Orochi certainly gave it a bad reputation. The powers of this fruit would have been completely different under Kaido and, at the same time, he would have gained multiple lives, which would have made defeating him even more difficult.
5 Urouge's Devil Fruit
Urouge possesses an unnamed Devil Fruit that works in very intriguing ways. Essentially, his body can absorb a lot of damage after he activates his fruit. The damage that he absorbs in this time can be then dished out at his enemy using a technique called Inga Zarashi.
Essentially, this fruit allows him to return karma to those who harm him. The interesting part of this Devil Fruit is that Urouge needs to be beaten up quite a lot in order for him to grow in terms of strength, which would have made it quite a fit for Kaido. Fans know that Kaido is quite a tank himself and loves to absorb hits. Under him, the true power of this fruit would have bloomed.
4 Riki Riki no Mi
The Riki Riki no Mi is quite a straightforward ability that belongs to the Paramecia class. Currently, it belongs to Jesus Burgess. This fruit grants the user insurmountable amounts of physical strength. Whether there is an upper limit to how much strength it can offer the user remains unknown, however, regardless, this limit is very high.
Burgess was seen being able to lift an entire mountain over his shoulders with the power of this fruit. Under someone like Kaido, this fruit would have granted immense strength to him and fans know that the Yonko was all about his brute strength. His hits would have hit harder than ever before had he possessed the Riki Riki no Mi.
3 Kira Kira no Mi
The Kira Kira no Mi is quite easily the toughest ability that fans have seen in the series. This fruit belongs to the Paramecia class and was eaten by the Third Division Commander of the Whitebeard Pirates, Diamond Jozu. With this fruit, Jozu gained the ability to coat his entire body and diamond, which granted them immense toughness.
When combined with his incredible physical attributes, this fruit could take on even the strongest of enemies. Kaido is known to be an exceptionally tough Emperor and the toughness of this fruit, if paired with his body, would certainly have been intriguing for the fans to witness. Perhaps, it would have raised his durability through the roof.
2 Magu Magu no Mi
The Magu Magu no Mi is one of the strongest abilities in One Piece and is currently being used by Sakazuki. This Devil Fruit belongs to the Logia class and it allows the user to turn into magma, produce it, and manipulate the produced magma according to their will. The offensive power of this Devil Fruit is believed to be of the highest order, which means that Kaido would have extremely high offensive output with this fruit.
What's more, Kaido's final form, Kaen Daiko, saw him become a giant magma dragon, capable of vaporizing an island if he so wanted. With this Devil Fruit, Kaido would be able to do that and more, making his abilities even more deadly.
1 Mythical Zoan Oni
A Devil Fruit that would have been absolutely perfect for Kaido is the Mythical Zoan Oni fruit. This fruit has not appeared in One Piece, however, as Vegapunk mentioned, Devil Fruits are only an extension of the imagination of humans.
This means that anyone imagining the powers of an Oni could potentially have given rise to this Devil Fruit. This fruit was heavily theorized to be the one that Kaido was using, however, sadly, it never appeared in the story. Nonetheless, if it were real, Kaido would have made exceptional use of it.
