Also known as the Four Emperors, the Yonko are the four strongest pirates in the world of One Piece. This concept, supposedly, came into existence after the era of the Pirate King, Gol D. Roger. The Yonko are, essentially, the four Kings of the New World. They are believed to rule the New World with the utmost authority and have taken several territories under their protection.
In essence, all the Yonko are in the running for the title of the Pirate King and, given that their influence is incredible, they are feared all over the world. While there are only four Yonko in One Piece, generally speaking, several of them have now risen and fallen. As such, over the years, fans have gotten to see a few different Yonko crews in One Piece.
7 Cross Guild
Why not exactly a crew, the Cross Guild is an organization that was recently established by the collaboration between three former Warlords, namely Buggy the Genius Jester, Dracule Mihawk, the World's Strongest Swordsman, and Sir Crocodile. After the abolition of the Warlord system, this group came together, however, Buggy was established as its leader by mistake. They are an extremely powerful bunch who have started to put bounties on the heads of the Marines.
With the likes of Crocodile and Mihawk under him, it was no wonder that Buggy was made a Yonko. Currently, Buggy has a bounty of 3.189 billion berries on his head. Meanwhile, his two strongest subordinates, Crocodile and Mihawk have a bounty of 1.965 and 3.590 billion berries respectively. While powerful, this group does not have many stronger underlings and so far, Crocodile and Mihawk are the only top tiers in their ranks.
6 Big Mom Pirates
The Big Mom Pirates have been ruling in the New World for decades now and they were a Yonko crew until recently. Their captain, the Yonko Charlotte Linlin, also known as Big Mom, is an extremely powerful pirate with a bounty of 4.388 billion berries on her head. Big Mom established an incredible pirate crew with over 10,000 members.
The crux of this group is her family, which she trusts to the fullest and all of them are extremely powerful. Under her are the Three Sweet Commanders, who are known to be the strongest after her. Big Mom also has several other capable underlings, as well as forces such as the Enraged Army. Together, they are an incredibly powerful crew who are difficult to take on in battle.
5 Beast Pirates
The Beast Pirates were led by the former Yonko, Kaido. They were one of the mightiest and, most likely, the most dangerous pirate crew on the seas until recently. Their captain, Kaido, had a bounty of 4.611 billion berries on his head, however, their current whereabouts remain unknown, for the most part.
The Beast Pirates consisted of the All Stars who were handpicked by Kaido as his three Right Hand Men, and after them, they included the mighty Tobi Roppo. The crew also included several powerful Gifters, as well as Pleasures and Waiters, all of which combined to become a decently strong crew.
4 Straw Hat Pirates
The Straw Hat Pirates are one of the latest Yonko crews in One Piece. Led by Monkey D. Luffy, this crew hails from the East Blue and has now established itself as a major power in the New World. Their captain, Luffy, has a bounty of 3 billion berries.
Under Luffy are his 9 Great Officers, all of which are feared in the world of One Piece. His strongest underlings include the likes of Zoro, Sanji, Jinbe, and Robin. Apart from them, there are other capable fighters in the crew as well, such as Franky, Brook, and even Usopp and Nami. In time, this crew will grow even stronger.
3 Blackbeard Pirates
The Blackbeard Pirates have established themselves as a Yonko group for quite a while now. This group was recently established, 2 years before the current timeline of the story. In that time frame, they solidified themselves as a major power on the seas in the New World and they are feared throughout the world currently. Their captain, Marshall D. Teach, has a bounty of 3.996 billion berries on his head.
The crew is also extremely notorious for hunting powerful Devil Fruit users and stealing their abilities. They are still growing when it comes to power and are not at their strongest just yet, however, in time, they will get even stronger. For now, they are not the strongest Yonko crew in One Piece.
2 Red Hair Pirates
The Red Hair Pirates have been a Yonko crew for quite some while now. They are led by their Chief, Red-Haired Shanks, and are known to be the most well-balanced crew when it comes to the Yonko. According to the Marines, this crew is almost impenetrable and their Commanders are at a very high level. This crew consists of his right-hand man and First Mate, Ben Beckman.
Following Beckman, this crew consists of other strong Officers, the strongest of which certainly are Lucky Roux and Yasopp. There are other powerful Officers in the crew as well and Oda will surely demonstrate their abilities to the fans soon enough.
1 Whitebeard Pirates
The mightiest crews of all the Yonko so far are certainly the Whitebeard Pirates. Led by the former Yonko Edward Newgate, also known as Whitebeard, this crew is known to be extremely overpowered. Their captain, Whitebeard, was known to be a man capable of destroying the entire world, thanks to his Devil Fruit. He was also strong enough to clash on an even footing with Gol D. Roger and this made him the only pirate to ever manage to do so.
Other than Whitebeard, the crew also consists of 16 powerful Division Commanders, all of which were capable in their own right. At one point, this crew also included Kozuki Oden, which made it even more fearsome. Other capable pirates under him included the likes of Marco the Phoenix, Flower Sword Vista, Fire Fist Ace, and Diamond Jozu, among many others. Long ago, this group even managed to stalemate the Roger Pirates after a battle that lasted three days in the New World.
