One Piece's Egghead Island arc continues with great intensity and it sees the very first war in the Final Saga of the story finally begin. Fans are incredibly excited to see what Oda has in store for them, especially because he has always been clear about the fact that he's most excited to draw this segment of his story. So far, the events on Egghead Island have been incredibly intense, with the war finally kicking off a few chapters ago.
One Piece: Oda Confirms Who Is Stronger Between The Yonko and The Admirals
The Yonko's strength stays unmatched in One Piece.
The war on this island has seen the Straw Hat Pirates engage with the Marines and, currently, because of the intervention of Saint Saturn, the crew is in a very desperate position. It looks like the Straw Hat Pirates will be destroyed on the island, however, there might be help on the way.
Kuma's Arrival On Egghead
The only person who's capable of helping the Straw Hat Pirates currently is none other than Kuma. Fans know that Kuma is currently the focus of One Piece, given that his flashback is being tackled by Oda right now. However, even aside from the flashback, Kuma has been extremely important in One Piece lately. His story is central to the ongoing events and he has taken an active role in the Egghead Island arc. Kuma is currently on his way to Egghead and it should not be long until he reaches this place. Initially, he started moving towards the Red Line from Momoiro Island and he struck this giant mass of land, and then proceeded to climb it.
As soon as Kuma got to the top, he was encountered with the powerful government forces and, at the same time, Fleet Admiral Sakazuki. Although Sakazuki dealt him great damage, he still managed to escape from the place and is continuing towards his destination right now. It should not be long until he reaches the place where he intends to be, and that is Egghead Island. While it has not been explicitly confirmed that Kuma is going to this place, it is quite obvious that he wants to save his daughter and, at the same time, the Straw Hat Pirates as well. It is only a matter of time before he gets to be the savior, just like he wanted to be when he was a kid, as was made clear in his ongoing flashback in One Piece 1095.
Kuma as The Savior
Kuma has always wanted to be a savior. This is something that he also mentioned to his daughter. Kuma is a very big admirer of Nika. The folklore of Nika has been passed down from one generation to another in the Buccaneer race. Given that Kuma is a member of this race, he too believes that Nika will one day come and save them all. Nika is the Warrior of Liberation with a big smile on his face who comes and saves everyone from their misery. Kuma believes that Nika will one day save him too, however, at the same time, he wants to be a savior as well. Kuma has been heavily inspired by Nika and this has led him to want to become more like this legendary warrior.
He mentioned this to Bonney when the two were playing together at the beginning of his flashback. Now, Kuma will have his chance to act as the savior. As soon as the flashback of Kuma ends, fans will most likely see him arrive on Egghead and when that happens, he is going to save not just his daughter but also the Straw Hat Pirates.
Kuma has already saved the Straw Hat Pirates on one occasion. This was on Sabaody when he dispersed the crew and sent them to different locations before the timeskip. This was done so that the Straw Hat Pirates wouldn't actually get annihilated on that day. Now, after the timeskip, Kuma is once again going to save the crew. This time, the situation is more dire than ever before and it means Kuma is going to have to take bigger steps as well.
One Piece: How Strong Is Garling Figarland?

The first thing that Kuma needs to do when he gets to Egghead is save his daughter. The second thing that he will do is save Luffy. While the Straw Hat Pirates are all in need of help, nobody needs help more than Luffy right now. After utilizing Gear 5 extensively in his fight against Kizaru, and even Lucci, as well as expending energy while fighting against the Seraphims, Luffy is, understandably, exhausted.
He cannot fight anymore and this means he needs help, which will be provided by Kuma.
How Kuma Will Save Luffy
Naturally, fans would wonder how Kuma will be of help. The answer to that lies in his Devil Fruit power. Kuma is the user of the Nikyu Nikyu no Mi. This fruit allows him to deflect things at incredibly high speeds, which can go up to the speed of light itself using his paw pads. The vast majority of the fans believe that Kuma will send away the Straw Pirates from Egghead. While this is a good possibility, there is another one that could help further the story in an even better manner. Kuma can use his powers to save Luffy. Fans remember that with his powers, Kuma can make contact with things that are intangible, such as emotions, pain, memories, and most likely, even exhaustion.
Luffy is in a lot of pain and stress right now. Kuma can use his Devil Fruit powers to remove the stress, exhaustion, and pain from his body, restoring him to full health. This would mean that Luffy would be fit and ready to go into battle once again. This would then allow Luffy to fulfill the prophecy that has been mentioned in the Buccaneer folklore that the Sun God Nika will one day come and save them all. Kuma himself requires salvation and so does Bonney. While Kuma will initially save Bonney and the Straw Hat Pirates, after that, the job will most likely pass to Luffy.
Luffy Vs Saturn Begins
Immediately after Kuma will save Luffy, the attention will likely turn to Luffy versus Saturn. Fans know that this fight is going to be incredibly intense. Saturn is one of the strongest people in the world of One Piece and certainly a monstrous entity. His powers are even greater than those of the Admirals and his display in the last few chapters is proof of that. Fans fully expect Saturn to be a monstrously powerful fighter and no less than Luffy will suffice to fight against him. This means that Luffy will take on the strongest combatant on the island and crush him in battle completely.
Of course, the fight against Saturn is not going to be easy for him at all. Saturn is, after all, a demon-like entity that cannot be defeated easily just by anyone. However, Saturn is not up against an average pirate. He is facing the Warrior of Liberation and the Sun God. If there is anyone who can stand up to him and defeat him, it is Luffy.
Luffy taking on Saturn in combat would also prevent the rest of the crew from annihilation as they will then be free to take care of the other threats. It is highly likely that Kizaru will wake up at a later time in the story, however, at this point, he would be weakened. This would be perfect for Sanji as he would then be able to fight a weakened Kizaru and defeat him in battle. Meanwhile, Zoro would be the one to crush Lucci while all the other Straw Hat Pirates can take on the Vice Admirals. The Egghead Incident is still most likely going to entail bigger things, such as the arrival of the Ancient Iron Giant, among other things, however, at the core of it all is Kuma, who will allow all of these historic events to take place.
