The following contains spoilers for One Piece Chapter 1065, "Six Vegapunks," by Eiichiro Oda, translated by Stephen Paul available in English from Viz Media.

One Piece finally returned from its break week with an incredible chapter to continue the already magnificent Egghead Island arc in a phenomenal manner. The story has barely started exploring the island of Egghead and by the looks of it, Oda will continue to do that in the following chapters. One Piece 1065 did a phenomenal job in exploring more of Vegapunk's character and, at the same time, introducing bits of new content for the fans to enjoy.

The chapter threw quite a lot of focus the Seraphim, along with letting the fans know a lot more about the character that is Vegapunk. At the same time, bits from the annals of history were also revealed to the fans, which is nothing short of surprising to some fans. This chapter certainly was one that raised more questions than it answered and in typical Oda fashion, left the fans in utter awe.

The Jinbe Seraphim

Seraphim Jinbe

Quite possibly one of the most intriguing parts of this week's chapter concerned Jinbe's Seraphim. Fans were finally introduced to him as the Straw Hat Pirates continued to explore the Egghead Island laboratory that belongs to Vegapunk. By the looks of it, Jinbe's Seraphim isn't complete just yet. However, it proved to be quite lethal, nonetheless. Immediately, the Seraphim attacked the Straw Hat Pirates and, Nami, the navigator of the crew, was at the receiving end of a powerful chokehold. Expectedly, it was evident to the crew that this Jinbe was not their ally and Sanji and Robin immediately jumped into action, backed up by the likes of Franky and Usopp.

Just like the other Seraphim seem so far, Jinbe's was pretty much the same. It appears to be a kid version of Jinbe, however, gigantified through Vegapunk's research. Lunarian DNA seems to make up quite a bit of its powers as black wings were seen on its body. The Seraphim is extremely powerful and skilled in Fishman Karate. At the same time, the Lunarian durability was seen when Sanji attacked him with a powerful Diable Jambe, sending him flying, yet not doing all that much damage. Vegapunk Shaka had to personally shut down the Seraphim to aid the Straw Hats and prevent a large-scale battle from breaking out.

The Bodies Of Dr. Vegapunk

One Piece 1065 finally introduced the fans to the remaining bodies of Dr. Vegapunk as well. Previously, fans were introduced to Lilith, as well as received a glimpse of Shaka. At the same time, Atlas was seen meeting Luffy as well. In this week's chapter, fans were introduced to Pythagoras, Edison, and York. Furthermore, a better look was provided at Shaka, who appeared towards the end of the chapter. Edison seems to be the brains as he collected an insane amount of battle data from the short skirmish between the Seraphim and the Straw Hat Pirates. From his research, it appears that the Seraphim's abilities continue to evolve as they grow. This means that the Seraphim are most likely going to be much stronger than their actual versions, as their abilities are continuously growing and they have the lineage factor from the likes of the Lunarian race, spliced with Devil Fruit abilities as well, as seen in this week's chapter with Jinbe's Seraphim, who had the powers of the Sui Sui no Mi.

Interestingly, this also means that the Seraphim might develop the same nature and personality as the actual people they are based on. However, for now, this remains a conjecture. Coming over to the other bodies of Dr. Vegapunk, fans got to see Pythagoras use his skill to jot down the incredible plans that Edison came up with. Meanwhile, York was eating and providing the bodies with continuous energy, as well as taking bathroom breaks for everyone. Finally, Shaka made his appearance towards the end of the chapter and met the Straw Hat Pirates. It is through his body that fans found out quite a lot about the mysteries of Egghead Island.

The Ancient Kingdom

Quite possibly the most intriguing part of One Piece 1065 came towards the very end when Shaka made his appearance in front of the Straw Hat Pirates crew. Fans already know that Shaka is the wisdom of all the Vegapunk bodies and it was expected of him to drop quite a lot of information bombs. In last week's chapter, he seemed to be predicting his own death while speaking to Dragon over a call. This week, he introduced himself to the Straw Hat Pirates and made known information that the World Government is now hunting him for.

Vegapunk simply asked the Straw Hat Pirates if Egghead Island look like the island of the future to them, to which they responded that it certainly did as it has technology that they have never seen before. Shockingly, Vegapunk revealed that this is an island set in the past. At the same time, Oda illustrated Luffy and his group coming across some future technology that looked way too old and rusty. Vegapunk then went on to reveal that Egghead Island has technology from the past and that there once existed a kingdom that was just as highly advanced as this one that existed 900 years ago.

This clearly ties to the Ancient Kingdom and the Void Century. The Kingdom that Vegapunk speaks of is most certainly the same that Clover got shot for during the destruction of Ohara. Now, it has been confirmed that the Ancient Kingdom had extremely advanced technology. Interestingly, this isn't much of a shock for the fans as it was already known that the massive warship, Pluton, was built by them during the Void Century. Highly advanced knowledge was required to build that and this chapter only confirmed what was already known. Oda will most certainly look to focus a lot more on this aspect of the story as the Egghead Island arc continues.
