One Piece is an action-adventure series that is filled with pirates, and wherever there are pirates, there is bound to be bloodshed. While Oda has tried to tone down the violence, there are times when he has to use it to advance the plot. Another notable thing associated with pirates is betrayal. Many big-name characters have explicitly stated that it's the nature of pirates to betray one another, and this theme is quite common in One Piece.

The sole exception to both of these rules are the Straw Hat Pirates, who have not only protected innocent civilians but have also formed alliances with their rivals and have not turned their backs on them. In One Piece Chapter 1075, Oda teased another possible alliance between the Straw Hats and their fierce enemies, CP0.

Lucci and Kaku's Proposal

Lucci and Kaku ask to form an alliance

Following their defeats at the hands of Luffy and Stussy, the two CP0 agents were put in seastone handcuffs to prevent them from causing any more ruckus on Egghead Island. Given the power of the Straw Hats, CP0 would have never won against them unless they got help from the Seraphim and the Navy. After they were captured, readers were under the impression that the Straw Hats could rest easy and achieve their goal of escorting Vegapunk off the island safely. However, in the last few chapters, things have changed drastically.

Vegapunk's sudden disappearance was the first indicator that something was wrong, and it was followed by an attack on Pythagoras, who was looking for the main body. Judging from the impact of the blast, it seemed that Pythagoras would have been critically injured, but he managed to narrowly survive with the help of his unique body. As Chapter 1075 progressed, it became increasingly clear that there was a traitor in their ranks who had ordered the Seraphim to attack the heroes. It has already been established that the Seraphim are freakishly powerful, and they can even push a Yonko on the back foot. So, having all of them working against them was bad news for the Straw Hats and the satellites.

Toward the end of the chapter, two of the Seraphim entered the place where Luffy and Zoro were resting. According to Zoro, S-Hawk and S-Bear did not seem to care if their attacks affected Lucci and Kaku, who were still handcuffed. Shaka deduced that the Seraphim had received orders to eradicate every single person on the island. He also talked about the possibility of the attack being planned from the very beginning, which seems outlandish as it would have taken the person a great deal of planning. Seeing the danger before their eyes, even the ruthless CP0 assassins decided to put aside their differences and offered to team up with Luffy and Zoro.

Will They Accept?

Luffy and Zoro make funny face

Considering the facial expression of the two Straw Hats, it is clear that they were displeased by the proposal. Under normal circumstances, the Straw Hats would never even consider accepting the proposal, but the current situation is quite tense. If they were to leave Lucci and Kaku tied up, it could result in the death of the two assassins. So, it makes sense for Luffy to accept their offer and free them.

The four of them can easily defeat S-Bear and S-Hawk. Once the four are done with the Seraphim, they might want to continue their alliance until they catch the traitor, who put them in a precarious position. However, Lucci cannot be trusted, so Luffy and co. will have to keep a close watch on him.

What Will Happen To The Alliance?

Lucci Kaku and S Bear

Even if Lucci and Kaku help the Straw Hats deal with the Seraphim, it is hard to ignore the fact that the two assassins were sent to kill Dr. Vegapunk. They have to complete their mission at all costs, and it is plausible to assume that they will go back to hunting the genius scientist. While some fans want the alliance to continue, there is no telling when Lucci will decide to betray them.

Also, it has already been confirmed that Kizaru and several other warships are on their way to Egghead Island. They will provide backup to Lucci and Kaku, and their manpower can make a world of difference. It also means that Saint Jaygarcia Saturn will be present on Egghead Island. It is unknown whether he has any combative abilities, but the scar on his face implies that he might have been a fighter in the past. Anyhow, Saint Jaygarcia Saturn's presence on the island will definitely be a surprise to everyone, including the two CP0 members.

There is a small chance that the person controlling the Seraphim is working for the World Government. They don't seem to have any pity for CP0, as the Seraphim quite clearly targeted the two assassins as well. It's already established that the World Government is thorough in its approach, which adds more fuel to the speculation of the traitor working for the organization. There is a possibility that the World Government wants to erase all evidence of their involvement in the plan to kill Vegapunk. Judging by the events of Chapter 1075, it is safe to assume that fans will get more details about the traitor in the upcoming chapters.
