One Piece's Wano Country arc is edging close to its end, with this week's chapter marking the last one of the Four Emperors Saga. With the series heading towards a month-long break starting today, One Piece 1053 made sure to deliver in quite a grand manner, keeping fans on the edge of their seats. As expected, this week's chapter focused heavily on the celebrations in Wano Country. Previously, Luffy and Zoro woke up after 7 days, and Momonosuke, the Shogun of Wano, ordered a grand banquet on the same day. At the same time, Admiral Green Bull was seen making his way to Wano towards the end of the previous chapter.

One Piece 1053 saw Oda tackle the very same plot points and progress them even further. With the grand banquet in Wano, an Admiral heading towards then to mar the celebrations, and big reveals with Nico Robin, the chapter was nothing short of incredible. Although the Wano Country arc is very close to its end, the intensity only seems to be getting higher.

Wano's Celebrations And The Dark Secret

One Piece 1055 Pluton

As expected, quite a big chunk of this week's chapter focused on the celebrations in Wano Country. Before the raid on Onigashima began, Luffy promised to hold a grand banquet the likes of which had never been seen before and Oda delivered just that in this chapter.

With the people of Wano seeing a grand festival for the first time in over 20 years, the tone of the chapter was quite warm and melancholic. However, mixed in that was massive hype which was perpetrated by the news of two of the Yonko, Big Mom and Kaido, falling. The bounties of the Worst Generation captains were revealed to the entire world with each of them getting 3 billion a piece. Furthermore, the new Four Emperors of the Sea were also announced in the chapter. As expected, they include Shanks and Blackbeard. The new additions, however, are rather interesting with Luffy and Buggy joining their ranks.

The Gorosei were shown at the beginning of the chapter and, interestingly, Luffy's appearance as the Sun God Nika was published against their wishes. This is certain to have a big impact all across the world, however, for now, fans don't know how Oda will tackle this plot point.

More importantly, Nico Robin and Tenguyama Hitetsu shared a very intriguing conversation in which the latter was revealed to be Kozuki Sukiyaki, Oden's father. In a shocking turn of events, Nico Robin revealed that the Poneglyph in Arabasta pointed to the location of Pluton which is located in Wano. With Sukiyaki being already aware of this, it appears that the Pluton will play a major role in the upcoming saga, which will kick off with One Piece 1054.

The big reveals in Flower Capital weren't the only thing that Oda touched upon in the chapter. In fact, one of the most intriguing parts of it was Green Bull's successful infiltration of the country. In Udon, he was seen wreaking havoc in Prisoner's Mine where he took down an entire unit of the Beasts Pirates.

By completely defeating the likes of Babanuki and even the All-Stars, King and Queen, Oda demonstrated the threat of Green Bull to the fans. His Devil Fruit powers were also revealed in more detail in the chapter. Previously, Green Bull was seen flying towards the country using a flower that sprouted from his back. In this chapter, fans got to see him use root-like extensions from his fingers to drain moisture from the bodies of those it penetrated. Even the likes of King and Queen were susceptible to its powers, which just goes to show how dangerous he is.

At the same time, fans got to see what his mentality is like as well. While most expected him to be similar to Fujitora in terms of his sense of justice, it appears that he is quite a massive fan of Sakazuki's way of things. Green Bull was seen targeting Monkey D. Luffy and heading towards the Flower Capital. It appears that the two will inevitably meet in the next chapter, and possibly even clash. Whether Green Bull will actually fight Luffy or decide to be smart, and use diplomacy somehow remains to be seen.

Given the number of enemies that he has in Wano, it would be preposterous to assume that he can take them on all at once. It is also interesting to note that Luffy finally has the newspaper in front of him, meaning he could very well find out about the events going on all over the world. The fates of the likes of Vivi, Sabo, and Hancock could very well be revealed to the fans soon. The world of One Piece seems to be getting more turbulent by the chapter, however, fans will have to wait a month to see what troubles are brewing outside of Wano.
