The game features a roster of 12 characters to choose from, with word that Omega Strikers will look to expand the options as the year progresses. Each character boasts their own individual style, abilities, and strengths to give them an edge over their adversaries. Within the game, players can opt to play as a defensive goalie or an attacking forward in a bid to beat the opposition to five goals. For those who favor an aggressive, offensive-heavy approach to the game, Omega Strikers offers a number of different gear attachments to boost character skills. Of these Forward Gear options, which would best be suited to get to the elusive five goals first?

4 Slick Kicks

Forwards in Omega Strikers are no different from the attacking superstars on the football pitch, they are there to get the ball to the opposition's scoring zone and slot it in the back of the net. The best footballers in the world are able to manipulate the ball to do their bidding with a combination of control, agility, speed, and power. For Forwards in Omega Strikers, the Slick Kicks gear will help contribute to this by giving players a speed boost for each strike they make on the Core.

Forwards equipped with the Slick Kicks gear receive a 30% speed increase for 1.5 seconds every time they strike the Core. This means that players will be rewarded for controlled possession with a bump-up in quickness to help them outrun their defenders. While a speed boost is a welcome advantage for any character on the roster, characters like Juliette, who have a predisposition for pace, will be even harder to catch after getting a touch to the ball.

3 Pummelers

There are essentially two main strategies that players can effectively employ as Forwards in Omega Strikers. One is agile and focused on goal-scoring, while the other is aggressive and tries to tip the scales in their team's favor by staggering and knocking out opponents. For those who prefer the latter, the Pummelers are an ideal piece of equipment by living up to their punishing name.

The Pummelers gear will suit any offensive style of play that targets the opposing players as much as the Core, which can be attributed to the 25% increase in power toward hits on staggered adversaries. To sweeten the deal, players with an active Striker advantage will become 15% faster to help track down any elusive opponents. This is best utilized on characters like X or Drek'ar, who are best in their class for delivering knock-out blows to players on the opposite end of the park.

2 Vicious Vambrace

A good Forward needs to be evasive but aggressive and quick but durable, a balance that can be extremely difficult to achieve. As such, players will generally adopt a strategy that emphasizes attacking the Core or one that attacks the players. For those who are not as well versed in the various skills each Omega Strikers character possesses, the Vicious Vambrace can help reduce the chance of players finding themselves staggered and unable to contribute to their team's efforts.

The Vicious Vambrace enables players to restore their stagger status by 25% of the damage their character is capable of dealing. Given that the effectiveness of this gear is determined by how much punishment their character can deliver, this would be best suited for those characters with a knack for dishing out as many strikes to the opposing players as they do the Core. The Vicious Vambrace will add an extra layer of protection for the player, making it more difficult to stagger and incapacitate them.

1 Magnetized Soles

Given the small team size compared to the large playing space in Omega Strikers, players have a lot of ground to cover in order to pick up the victory. In a game where quick thinking and even quicker action are needed to give the player's team an advantage, the Magnetized Soles are perfect for sparking attacking sequences or diffusing potentially dangerous scenarios.

The Magnetized Soles offer any Forward wearing them a speed boost of 30% each time an Omega Strikers player crosses the midfield. This perk is great for launching an attacking play as the player will have a slight advantage in the chase for the ball, but it will also prove very useful if possession is lost and a quick defensive turnaround is needed. The Magnetized Soles only offer a slight speed boost for a limited time, however, the potential it has to influence the team on both ends of the field makes this one of the best options for gear in Omega Strikers.

Omega Strikers is available now on PC, Android, iOS, and Nintendo Switch.
