In Octopath Traveler 2, players begin their journey as any of the eight different travelers, each of whom has their own history, reasons for embarking on their journey, and special abilities. Every traveler has unique set Path Actions, which they can use to participate in combat with residents, obtain objects, bring other people along on their journeys, and accomplish a wide variety of other objectives and responsibilities.
For defense in battle, each playable character in Octopath Traveler 2 can equip one piece of body armor and one piece of headgear, which provide protection against physical and elemental harm. They may also provide additional abilities or boosts to stats. All eight playable characters have distinct combat styles, so players will need to try various armor pieces to determine which items suits each character. Between chest pieces and helmets, there are plenty of powerful options.
6 Cursed Helmet
The Cursed Helmet provides 88 physical and elemental defense, but at the expense of significantly lowering players maximum SP. To avoid this penalty, purchase the Collar of Vengeance item, which turns all negative impacts of Cursed equipment into positive effects. This means that when players couple the Cursed Helmet with the Collar of Vengeance, they will get Max SP +66 rather than -66.
In the Brightlands Region village of Lost Seed, there is a chest where players can find the Cursed Helmet. Players can get to the chest by entering the house that is right next to the inn. For the players to be able to modify the map, they must first purchase the medicine from the child and then go back to get the helmet.
5 Dragon Mail
The Dragon Mail provides the wearer with improved resistance to fire-based attacks, in addition to +195 Physical Defense. This piece of body armor offers enhanced defense against attacks from physical forces.
Players can find the Dragon Mail in the Brightlands Region, in a chest along the Abandoned Road. Upon getting to Brightlands Region, go to the segment of the ropeway that is located to the east. After that, head up then go to the left to locate the chest.
4 Vest Of Joy
The Vest of Joy is a piece of body armor that provides its wearer with a whopping +170 to both Physical and Elemental defense. It offers protection against a variety of status conditions, including sleep, silence, and unconsciousness. As a result, it is an excellent choice for important support characters that are in charge of setting up buffs or restoring the party's HP while they are engaged in battle.
Players can get the Vest of Joy after completing the side quest A Young Girl's Wish. In the Harborland region, talk to the young lady in the Conning Creek Graveyard to initiate the quest.
3 Blessed Robe
The Blessed Robe provides a +74 enhancement to attack power. It is an excellent choice for Hikari and Throne as they are consistent damage dealers. Players should combine this chest piece with other pieces of equipment that improve the number of critical hits they receive in order to further maximize their output when engaged in combat.
In the Leaflands region city of Timberain, players can acquire the Blessed Robe from Judge. Use Path Actions such as Partitio's Purchase, Throné's Steal, Osvald's Mug, or Agnea's Entreat to get the item from this NPC.
2 Supreme Decorative Armor
This armor provides its wearers with a whopping +180 bonus to both Physical and Elemental Defense. It also reduces the amount of damage that the wearer takes from lightning, fire, ice, and wind attacks. It is one of the most trustworthy pieces of equipment to utilize throughout the game due to the fact that it can withstand multiple sorts of damage. However, players may need to switch it out when facing opponents that use light or dark-based attacks.
Players can find a chest containing the Supreme Decorative Armor along the area of the Dividend Ocean, which is located to the east.
1 Cursed Armor
The Cursed Armor is the most powerful piece of body armor in Octopath Traveler 2, providing the wearer with an enormous +222 Physical and Elemental Defense. Unfortunately, it also carries -66 Speed. However, players can offset this by equipping the accessory known as the Collar of Revenge, which turns any unfavorable gear effects into favorable ones. This transforms an already powerful piece of armor into one that is truly unparalleled in its category.
The Cursed Armor can be obtained from a chest in the lower right corner of House WellowsManor, which is located in the Leaflands Region.
