At the start of the 2024 Consumer Electronics Show (CES), Nvidia officially showed off the pricing and specs of the upcoming GeForce RTX 40 Super Series graphics cards, which has three cards in the lineup. Starting at $599, the latest hardware from Nvidia looks to give PC gamers extra performance while simultaneously cutting down on power consumption.

Initially rumored in late 2023, the RTX 40 Super Series GPUs will be released throughout January with three editions for consumers to choose from: the RTX 4070 Super, the RTX 4070 Ti Super, and the RTX 4080 Super. Each of these new GPUs will be compatible with Nvidia's DLSS upscaling technology and will have enhanced AI task support. Though the RTX 4070 Super and the RTX 4070 will coexist in Nvidia's current lineup, the RTX 4070 Ti Super and RTX 4080 Super will supersede their non-Super counterparts. Whether this will result in Nvidia or its partners pushing for a price cut to clear out the remaining inventory of RTX 4070 Ti and RTX 4080 GPUs or not remains to be seen.

During the 2024 CES Keynote on January 8, following weeks of speculation, Nvidia showed off the GeForce RTX 40 Super Series GPUs. According to Nvidia, the RTX 4070 Super will be sold starting at $599 on January 17, and it will have 20% more CUDA cores than the current RTX 4070, as well as a total power draw of 220W. The tech giant claimed that the RTX 4070 Super would perform faster than the last-generation RTX 3090, and consume much less power. For $799, the RTX 4070 Ti Super will overtake the RTX 4070 Ti, and it will have increases in both its available VRAM and memory bandwidth. The RTX 4070 Ti Super will sport 16GB of GDDR6X memory, and it will have the same 256-bit memory bus as the RTX 4080 and 4090 models. It will be available starting on January 24.
