Highlights

  • The Nvidia GeForce Now leak seems increasingly credible, with a significant number of accurately predicted titles being released or confirmed for release since the leak.
  • The leak accurately predicted Sony bringing many first-party exclusives to PC, adding credibility to its validity as a whole.
  • While some leaked titles are yet to be released, the proportion of released to unreleased games suggests that more of the leaked titles could still arrive in the future.

Although its validity was originally hotly contested, the Nvidia GeForce Now leak from two years ago has proven to be one of the more credible large video game leaks in recent history. Leaks should always be taken with a grain of salt, especially considering the frequency with which they occur in the modern age, but occasionally they do turn out to bear fruit in terms of the titles they purport to reveal. While not every game divulged as part of the Nvidia GeForce Now leak has released (such as the still rumored Final Fantasy 9 remake), the amount that have gives some credibility to the idea that even those that haven't released might arrive sooner or later.

Looking at what games have and have not released since the initial leak provides an interesting picture of how accurate the leak ultimately panned out to be, with a surprising amount of titles having since arrived and others having been officially revealed and planning 2024 release dates, such as Helldivers 2 and Dragon's Dogma 2. It could be argued that the sheer amount of accurate predictions proves that the leak ended up being trustworthy, but it's important to note that several of the leaked titles still have yet to see the light of day. That said, the proportion of released to unreleased games provides genuine possibility that more of the leaked titles could still yet arrive.

Every Game From the Nvidia GeForce Now Leak That Has Released or Been Confirmed

Rivet, Ratchet and Clank In Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart

The following titles are games that were correctly predicted by the GeForce Now leak, having either released in the two years since the leak (such as the Chrono Cross remaster) or being confirmed for release sometime in 2024. That the leak accurately predicted the propensity of Sony bringing its first-party exclusives to PC gives some credence to its validity as a whole. There are actually other Sony first-party exclusives not included in the leak that have since been confirmed for release on PC.

Several of the leaks from Microsoft, originally revealed in the leak as coded titles, have since been revealed to be the latest entries in long-running franchises such as the Fable reboot or Forza Motorsport, the latter of which released just last week. Because so many of the titles included in the leak went under ambiguous code names, these identifiers have been included where applicable. Games are separated by their developer or publisher according to how they initially appeared in the leak:

Every Game the Nvidia GeForce Now Leak Got Wrong (So Far)

Final Fantasy 9: Who Should Voice The Characters In A Remake?

Although the ratio of confirmed to unconfirmed games in the leak is impressive, there are still several notable titles that have yet to release. That's not to say that these titles won't arrive in the future, but as of now there are no official announcements regarding any of the non-confirmed games. One of the more hotly anticipated titles in the leak is the purported remake of Final Fantasy 9, which despite not being officially announced is still being touted as a real game by several industry insiders. Interestingly, since the leak, Square Enix has since sold several Western studios and IP, rendering several of the developer's leaked games now an impossibility.

Surprisingly, none of the games featured in the leak belonging to Atlus have panned out, but the studio has since placed a significant emphasis on remaking and porting the beloved Persona series to PC and modern consoles despite none of these titles featuring in the leak. Similarly, the GeForce Now leak lists a Final Fantasy Tactics remaster, but in the interim since the leak's reveal Square Enix has instead opted to remaster its spiritual predecessor, Tactics Ogre. It's entirely possible that the unreleased projects from the leak will take on entirely different forms by the time they land into players' hands.
