If you are eagerly awaiting the sequel to the action thriller Nobody, then this will be music to your ears. Director David Leitch let it be known that they are trying to get a sequel to the Bob Odenkirk-led action thriller made as soon as possible.

Leitch recently confirmed that everything is in place for the sequel. From the actors to the producers to the writers to even the extras, everyone is willing to come back for Nobody's impending sequel, which speaks volumes about how much everyone enjoyed being involved in the original film's production.

According to Leitch, everyone involved in Nobody is a-go for the film's sequel. "Everyone involved is like, 'Full steam ahead.' We are in the script process, and I think we had so much fun making that. Kelly and I had a blast, the actors had a blast, the studio loved the results, and it's happening. I mean, I think it's happening as fast as we can make it happen," he said to Collider. Leitch was asked by Collider if he truly believed Nobody would return to screens, to which he replied, "I do, because there are these certain journeys that you go on, and they're just undeniable experiences for the people involved. And that was one of them. And I think all of us want to go back and play in that universe, and we want to see Bob bring that character to life again."

Nobody Bob Odenkirk

Best of all, with Better Call Saul wrapping up in less than two weeks, Odenkirk should be more than available not just for a sequel to Nobody but for a potential franchise if that's where things are headed. Even though Odenkirk is best remembered as Saul Goodman, he definitely impressed the masses with his performance as Hutch, the assassin-turned family man who is going through a midlife crisis. Of course, viewers would want to see more of his story because of how mysterious it still was by the end. That is, as long as it's not a retread of what's already been done.

What made Nobody so appealing to audiences was how relatable Hutch was in the sense that many people turn to family life because they want to be happier. Then, once they get complacent with their way of life, they pine for the old days, which they believe were more fun. Having Hutch be a former CIA assassin makes it both action-packed and funny at the same time. What made it even better was that he basically stimulated the entire story because he happened to beat up the wrong guys to appease his midlife crisis. Repeating that formula will only bore the same audience you attracted to begin with.

Besides, there is more ground to cover here. Maybe dive into Hutch's history with his wife, or perhaps his kids get to know who he truly was before he settled down into his family life. Perhaps we'll see more of his dad and his brother taking out the bad guys. It's great to see that everyone behind Nobody is ready to go for the sequel, but if they're going to strike while the iron is hot, they have to do it right.

Nobody can currently be streamed on HBO Max.
