After a year of Nintendo Switch exclusivity, Grasshopper Manufacture’s No More Heroes 3 has received an official release date for other platforms. Published by Xseed Games in North America, No More Heroes 3 makes its jump to PC, PlayStation, and Xbox this October and has also debuted a brand-new trailer showcasing the game at higher frame rates and resolutions.

No More Heroes is one of Suda51’s longest-standing and most beloved franchises. The series received its first entry on the Nintendo Wii in 2007 and became an instant cult classic thanks to its irreverent and off-beat brand of humor mixed with its chaotic gameplay style. Suda51’s tongue-in-cheek action-adventure game would go quiet after releasing a sequel in 2010 before receiving its final entry in 2021 with No More Heroes 3. In 2021 the franchise would also break from its Nintendo exclusivity by releasing its first two games and a spin-off title on all platforms. Thanks to today's announcement, fans of Travis Touchdown won't have to wait too long to complete their collection.

No More Heroes 3 launches on October 11 for all PlayStation and Xbox consoles and PC via Steam. The game will feature Japanese voice acting, and breaks free from the Switch’s power limitations with faster loading times and cutscenes at a crisp 4K 60 fps. Poor performance and long load times were major criticisms of the game when it launched for the Switch last year. A new trailer for No More Heroes 3 accompanies today's release date announcement and showcases the game's frantic, ultraviolent gameplay at 60 frames per second.

Physical copies of No More Heroes 3 are currently up for pre-order across multiple online retailers, and Xseed Games has tossed in some unique memorabilia for fans of the series. No More Heroes 3 Day 1 Edition is priced at $59.99 USD and includes a softcover art book featuring over 70 pages of artwork, a CD with 22 songs from the original soundtrack, and a Santa Destroy commemorative license plate.

No More Heroes 3 is the final entry in the series, marking the end of Travis Touchdown’s journey to become the highest-ranked superhero in the galaxy. Despite being criticized for a few gameplay elements that bog down the overall game, No More Heroes has a remarkable legacy. Suda51, the director behind the series, would later incorporate much of the same action and off-beat humor from No More Heroes into Lollipop Chainsaw to great success. What's more, Lollipop Chainsaw would inspire James Gunn’s Suicide Squad reboot and has proven popular enough to warrant a full-on remake which is currently in development.

No More Heroes 3 is available now for Nintendo Switch, with PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S ports releasing on October 11.
