Considered to be something of a lofty achievement, especially for such a small development team, No Man's Sky is a marvel in sci-fi gaming and is continuing to entertain fans five years after being released. The game received Update 3.38 recently, so the studio are still keen to keep adding new content for the foreseeable future.

However, despite the friendly community that goes hand-in-hand with the likes of No Man's Sky, some people are noticing that their worlds have become messed with by others. When logging in, they're seeing that their base has been covered with decals and items that make it look like some sort of "infestation."

The game is known not only for its space exploration but also for the ability to build bases. While the sudden infestation is generally harmless, certainly not on par with griefing tactics known in games like Minecraft, players have noticed that the growths impede entrance into their own construction. However, those responsible for creating these infestations are claiming it as a role-playing element with their own set of rules that they stick to.

Developed by UK studio Hello Games, No Man's Sky was panned for being launched with a lot of promised content missing, which led to accusations that the developer had misled players, but were eventually cleared of any charges. However, that didn't stop the PC community from plummeting the game's reviews to "overwhelmingly negative" on Steam. Over the years though, the game has been added to significantly, with multiple free and substantial updates which have made the game what it arguably should have been back in 2016.

No Man's Sky is available right now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
