Nintendo has released a fresh update for the Expansion Pack tier of its Nintendo Switch Online subscription service that gives gamers access to the classic Game Boy Advance game Kirby & the Amazing Mirror. The Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack tier costs $49.99 per yer as opposed to the $19.99 per year that the base Switch Online service costs, but for fans of retro games, it's worth the price of admission.

The Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack gives subscribers free access to major DLC, and it also lets them access Sega Genesis, Nintendo 64, and Game Boy Advance games. Nintendo updates the library of games available through the Switch Online Expansion Pack on a regular basis, so subscribers regularly have fresh games to check out.

Kirby & the Amazing Mirror is the latest game added to the Switch Online Expansion Pack. A classic Game Boy Advance game, Kirby & the Amazing Mirror first released in 2004 and earned mostly positive reviews from critics. Kirby & the Amazing Mirror stands out from other Kirby games thanks to its Metroidvania gameplay and multiplayer support. Like other Switch Online games, Kirby & the Amazing Mirror multiplayer should still be functional.

Kirby & the Amazing Mirror is just the latest Game Boy Advance game to join the Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack. 12 other GBA games preceded it, including The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap, Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga, Mario Kart: Super Circuit, Metroid Fusion, and Fire Emblem. Nintendo plans to add at least two more Game Boy Advance games to the Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack tier at some point in the future, with F-Zero: Maximum Velocity and Golden Sun both confirmed for the lineup.

The addition of those games to the Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack will mean Nintendo has nearly added every promised game to the service. The only holdouts will be three Nintendo 64 games that have yet to be added, with fans still waiting on 1080 Snowboarding, Harvest Moon 64, and Mario Party 3 at the time of this writing. Of course, it's entirely possible that Nintendo will reveal even more Nintendo 64 and GBA games that it hopes to bring to the Switch Online Expansion Pack, so fans should keep an eye out for future announcements.
