Nintendo eShop sales are relatively rare, so any opportunity to scoop up some good games for the Nintendo Switch at a discount is a good thing. Nintendo is currently running deals on a number of games, including much of the Switch's Capcom catalog.
The current Capcom Nintendo eShop deal will run until August 29th, and it discounts a wide variety of games from the developer and publisher. This includes Onimusha: Warlords at $11.99, Okami HD at $13.99, and the Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection for $19.99. Mega Man is also getting a significant series of discounts, with the Mega Man 11 marked down to $19.99, Mega Man Legacy Collection 1 & 2 marked down to $9.99, while Mega Man X Legacy Collection 1 & 2 are $11.99.
Horror fans also have plenty to look forward to, as the entire Resident Evil catalog on the Switch has been discounted. Main franchise entries Resident Evil, Resident Evil 0, and Resident Evil 4 have all had their prices slashed in half, selling for just $19.99 a pop. Resident Evil Revelations 1 & 2, on the other hand, are a mere $13.99 a piece. This is a particularly good deal for Switch owners, as Resident Evil on the Switch costs more than on other systems when prices are normal. Rounding out the Capcom sale is also Devil May Cry ($14.99), and Phoenix Wright's Ace Attorney Trilogy ($19.99).
While Capcom appears to be the main focus of this sale, it's not the only developer offering steep discounts. A wide range of indie games are also available through the sale, including Guacamelee ($7.49), Drawful 2 ($5.99), Bastion ($2.99) and Transistor ($3.99). There are also a few games outside of the indie spectrum on discount, including Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night ($31.99), and Mortal Kombat 11 ($41.99). Picking the latter up now will give players plenty of time to practice before the final wave of Mortal Kombat 11 DLC is released.
Unfortunately, the current Nintendo Switch eShop sale doesn't offer discounts on Nintendo's own games. These titles rarely go on sale, so players likely shouldn't expect to see any major discounts on them until the holiday shopping season arrives.
