The new year is here and it appears that players on the Nintendo Switch will have a good start to 2020 now that Nintendo's New Year sale is now live. After passing 50 million units sold in less than 3 years, the Nintendo Switch is still proving to be a popular console in the gaming community. Now, the Nintendo eShop now offers several amazing games with discounts of up to 30 percent. The best part of Nintendo's sale is that it includes both first-party games and indie titles.

Headlining Nintendo's New Year sale is the first-party game Yoshi's Crafted World. The game is a side-scrolling platform game that serves as the eight main-installment in the Yoshi franchise. Yoshi's Crafted World was initially released on March of last year and is currently priced at $41.99, which is $18 off its original list price of $59.99. Apart from the exciting gameplay it has to offer, Yoshi's Crafted World also includes about 185 costumes to obtain, which can be unlocked by simply playing through the game.

On the other hand, players looking for a good third-party game to play on the Nintendo Switch should consider the Switch port of the highly-successful game, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Although its initial release was successful, it appears that more people are buying The Witcher 3 right now due to the increasing popularity of the franchise's Netflix novel adaptation that was released less than a month ago. The Witcher 3 is currently available for the Nintendo Switch for $41.99, which is $18 off its original price of $59.99.
